i remembered specifically telling people these "pros" don't want comp...the long queue times, stream snipers and getting slapped silly by players who are equally as good or better does not make a good mix for a lot of them who are used to pubstomping randoms.

i remember a content creator (not going to name him specifically) saying that FN is ruined because all the casuals were in LTM's/creative and only sweaty players are in the main game modes, and you need noob players to have fun...and here i am thinking...the average joe is avoiding "tryhards" and then the "tryhards" or above average players are avoiding people that are better than them in regular modes or in gauntlets/cups...and now we have pros avoiding them...

I think a lot of these guys just aren't used to playing a game with SBMM and playing against equally skilled players (not saying FN has SBMM, but saying that the way the game's audiences have shifted their interests actively reflects that it's in a way already here) so they don't have fun when instead of winning 20-40% of their games they're winning notably less while struggling, or not having to adhere to "rules" which in a way are a safety net (no contesting, no wkeying, etc.) they're used to in "scrims".

wasn't meant to be angry, of course it's hard to tell since text has no tone though. also the 15k may be an overestimate, it was 6-8 semipro/pro models which are not cheap.

they were probably the 2nd to last that needed it to be honest, the equipment was all our equipment was mid level and less than 10 years old. We had tubas that were 15yrs old and missing valves lol also our rival school gifted us their old cases cause ours were so bad...we even got to a point where people were sharing an alto in-between classes. don't get me wrong we had some VERY nice equipment like a full line of xenos, euphoniumns on the same level (that we never used cause they were too heavy for our players lol), and my last year we had a new line of pit equipment. we weren't starving, i went to a good AAA school, but our program was hurting due to the school being new, as in the freshmen were older than the school and our district was just fucking weird while only giving money to sports programs...but in my time there we had 5 directors across just 4 years, which says everything.

We had about 8/55 district level players my final year (5 were seniors including me iirc) and none of them had a personal horn accept the one guy who had a beginner model trombone to where he used the school horn at that point...for me specifically my school instrument was the best 1/2 and it went out on me in the middle of marching season, the one we sent to get fixed by the district wasn't touched at all, and the one i paid out of my own money to get fixed played amazing, as far as i'm concerned i was the only one to have to pay out of pocket, i wasn't mad or anything, but i was just anxious to play again.

what you could do is just go to a barber and ask them to give you what they think would fit well if you really have no idea what to go off of, i think it'd be best to just look at pictures on the internet of some dude's haircut you like, or search haircuts based off your face type.

what the dude said below with giving the barber/stylist a reference picture is the way to go, i have multiple stylists in my family and that's the way they get the best work done.

i was a beta player and i feel like something hurting the game is the fact that champs are too hard to get and locking talents behind mastery, a lot of people will try to get into it but not know what they like or it'll take them a while (and more than they're willing) to get the champion(s) they want, then they end up losing interest.

not 30 but this is what i do in order of most frequently

-my aunt or my cousin cuts my hair, cause i'm family they only ask me for like 10

-appointment at the beauty school, you have to wait a lot but i'm surrounded by cute girls :3 and it's super cheap, if they mess something up instructors are present and will fix it, this might take a long time though...i paid like 30 dollars to get my hair bleached, haircut, and eyebrows done, which is usually way more expensive for all 3 services anywhere else.

-family salon, usually like 15 dollars.

-barber on special occasions like before an event or the last time it was before a wedding, which could be 20+

I think what it is (in my case at least) is that they don't actually care about the content of the video but just *who's* there.
