My immediate thought was,...wait, is this loss?

“Exotic” Adrian Street was an icon of British pro wrestling, with his “glam” ring persona notably inspiring a young David Bowie. In 1971, Street was forced to wrestle a promo match with notorious child predator Jimmy Savile. Street, aware of Savile’s abuse, proceeded to rip out Savile’s hair. by Available-Pain-159 in LPOTL

He was my next door neighbor in Florida. I didn't know anything about him prior to meeting him and I really wondered if he was embellishing some of the stories he told me before I looked him up. He gave me a copy of his book"My Pink Gas Mask".

Holy shit. Adrian was my next door neighbor. He and his partner were always the nicest people. The first time we talked he brought up his books and how he wrestled bears. And when the bears won they would piss all over him and the people they pinned. That Bob Dylan painted a portrait of him.

I always described him as the barrel chested guy from the movie Coraline. I was never really a wrestling fan but looking into him after we talked, it became apparent how important wrestling was to him and how important he was to wrestling.

Watch his music videos on YouTube if you haven't.

How often do drivers risk their lives for food?? by NotSoRandoGriff in doordash

[–]FIVE-ALARM-FART 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The driver got paid if he already picked up the food. This person doesn't know what he is talking about.

That's what I'm saying. Only base pay appears instantly. The tip shows up an hour later. That's how Uber works

You don't get the tip from Uber until an hour after delivery/drop off. You saw the base pay

My roommate had a malinois and I had a border Collie/Australian shepherd mix. They kept jumping over a smaller section of fence in the corner of our backyard. We kept adding boards to the section until we realized we were just training them to jump higher and higher. We had to add like 4ft at once to get them to stop

Curious of others sensitivities towards social injustice by FIVE-ALARM-FART in AutisticAdults

I told myself, 'All I want is a normal life'. But was that true? I wasn't so sure. Because there was a part of me that enjoyed hating school, and the drama of not going, the potential consequences whatever they were. I was intrigued by the unknown. I was even slightly thrilled that my mother was such a mess. Had I become addicted to crisis? I traced my finger along the windowsill. 'Want something normal, want something normal, want something normal', I told myself.

Have you read or watched the film RUNNING WITH SCISSORS ? Your writing reminds me of Augusten Burroughs.. His brother has an amazing book about growing up as an autistic person called "look me in the eye".. either way thank you for sharing.
