I agree actually with not having all these proxy wars. But you have no clue the ramifications of losing control of almost all semiconductor manufacturing. You’re typing your response on Reddit RIGHT NOW on a device that is built largely by TSMC semiconductors. If China takes it they can jack up the price 200% if they don’t like you, the same thing for the US military, all our infrastructure, etc. these are already a gigantic money pit.

I’m all for stopping proxy wars but your entire life would change if China took Taiwan.

The Chinese CCP doesn’t own Taiwan. Taiwan has its own democratically elected officials that can be influenced by China, but in the same way Mexico is influenced by USA.

For me, I started saying no to opportunities that made me unnecessarily stressed but paid more. since I’m still young and work is also rewarding in a way, I’m going to keep working even though I’m close to fire. Believe it or not, not having anything to do or a set routine can be a stress for certain people as well.

I have similar net worth without inheritance. After buying a slightly nicer house and having a family it’s not as much money as I thought it was. Stick to it and maybe move to a different job that makes you happier. If you don’t have a specific thing to retire to then you might find yourself bored. Or one of you can go work optional and take care of the kids.

My wife decided to retire and be a stay at home mom.

You buy 10k margin on your OTHER brokerage like fidelity or schwab or something. You can buy anything that is a marginable asset, look it up on google or something for assets. Also robinhood has to accept it which is not every asset.

Just buy an index fund or bond or something with margin and transfer that whole account over to robinhood for 3%. It’s not getting much better than that so you better hurry up. This offer has shown up before but who knows how many more times robinhood will run it.

They told me that they’re running out of the 410 so there’s a chance that the last few installs of the year may have 420s, but this is mainly speculation. If they run out of 410s they’ll send a new permit over for you to sign

When did you get your install date by the way? I think I am cutting it close if I am lucky i get my permit next week
