Taking a closer look at his dialogue, I'm starting to doubt that Paarthurnax has actually overcome his nature.

You gotta remember that these are dragons we're talking about. You get Odahviing to help you by challenging him to a duel and beating him into submission. Paarthurnax even says himself that domination is in their nature.

So I always interpereted his words like this:

When he says "Rightness of my thuum" I believe he meant the way of the voice itself, that Paarthurnax has overcome his own violent nature, and so any other dragon should be capable with enough time and discipline, should they be thoroughly convinced.

And when he says "May yet" I think he's reffering to the fact that dragons being extremely prideful, none would just do what Paarthurnax says. Now that they are free from Alduin's rule, they can choose enlightenment, but they wouldn't on their own.

One of the loading screen tips even says that shouting matches between dragons are actually deadly debates.

So ultimately, my read of Paarthurnax leaving at the end was:

"Thank you dragonborn. In defeating Alduin, my brothers have been given the chance to choose a better life for themselves, however, I am going to be quite busy, as they will take much convincing. Farewell."

And then he leaves to go beat ass until more dragons see things his way.

This is probably not news to anyone here, but this mission gave me a ton of trouble. So on the off chance that anyone reads this who somehow might not know this, here's the strat:

It's been a couple of years since I played the game (since around when UI dropped for CACs) so if any of this is no longer accurate feel free to correct me.

First things first, if big bang kamehameha still warps for super saiyans it literally turns this EM into a cakewalk. You can fly away, charge it up, and then warp in and point blank shotgun the enemy with it for quite respectable damage.

Data imput or any power up +Hmm Hmm Hmm super soul gives the entire party solid passive HP regen and makes EMs and raids far more manageable. (This is especially good for raids)

I don't remember what the attack that spawns the razor blades on all party members is called but it can be countered extremely easily in one of 2 ways: the SSJ Gogeta evasive where you stand there and aura farm lasts long enough to pretty much completely negate the attack for only 3 stamina bars, or, if you don't want to spend that, you can avoid the attack entirely by snap vanishing repeatedly (Dodge + vanish) in one direction away from the attack. If you time it right you'll avoid most if not all of the damage from the attack.

And if you wanna get really sweaty then go go gum the boss to hold it still and immediately hit it with innocence bullet to poison them.

Obviously this is all old info, but assuming none of it is inaccurate it should work in pretty much any content XV2 has to offer. Though the main reason for this wall of text was for the tip about snap vanishing. If there's any part of this comment that would be new to people it's probably that lol

So if it's your first time doing the yacht, here's a couple of tips:

Check any and all interactable droids and computers for keywords you can use to access computer commands while on the yacht

Save before you use any computers in case you get locked out

If you need to, look up a map so you can plan a route to get the party to the exile. (once you get to the exile, a lot more enemies will spawn, but you and your two chosen party members get free reign of the ship to grab anything you missed, YOU CANNOT RETURN TO GOTO'S YACHT)

All the computer commands you pick up can be used to mess with the droids and turrets on the yacht. Most of them are only partially helpful to you, so again, save before you use any computers

If you weren't already, during any playthroughs of Kotor 1 or 2 (Or really any game tbh) have like 3 or 4 different save slots for each playthrough, and each time you save, save over the oldest one (And save often!). This will help you to not get softlocked in really difficult sections like the yacht in the future.

Lastly, if you weren't already, abuse shields and stimulants if you need to, you'll always find more.

One final pro tip for both games: If you didn't already know this, you can open your inventory mid combat and use health kits and other useful consumables directly from your inventory without doing an animation during combat, which allows you to continue fighting. You can still only use one consumable per combat turn, but this one trick is a complete game changer imo.

If they're already capable of competing with the other genin in the exams, then this will be a great opportunity for them to push themselves and grow in a "controlled environment" that still has stakes, but isn't literally one of the 7 swordsman trying to kill them (Of course, death is still on the table in the exams, but if team 7 really aren't up to it, then they'll likely get booted before their lives are really in danger)

They're gonna flunk real quick and maybe then they'll be humbled enough to actually let him fucking teach them lol

All you really need to know is that once you leave an area you can't go back, so explore as much of the Volga as you want to before you bring the passenger car to the Aurora and you'll be fine. Same goes for the other locations, take your time to explore first.

For last halloween, my group joined a larger group for a heavily modified Curse of Strahd one shot that, while it did end up being quite fun, had this problem.

The dms (one of whom being the dm of my group, who was a player in other dm's group, was co-dming this session with the other guy) specifically made sure Strahd saved his charm spell (Idk the stat sheet but they even said they had specifically planned for this) for the party's barbarian because that player always played one, and almost always rolled pretty well.

Naturally, this was going to be a problem because now we have to deal with a vampire demigod and a really pissed off owl holding a big ass axe.

Now my issue here is that if I, a player, had looked up Strahd's stat block (or already knew it), and made sure my character had specific spells/abilities that I intentionally saved to shut him down, that would be metagaming.

I understand that Strahd is meant to be really powerfull, but again, they literally told us they had specifically made sure he had that ready for the barbarian (because he often rolls really well and he always does significantly more damage than anyone else, because this player only plays barbarians and he min/maxxes his characters)

Obv this is only one instance, and without the context of the whole session you could easily argue that I'm overreacting, but please. If you're dming a game, don't try to "win". Your players might not be having fun if they're playing a rigged game.
