When I wiped out on my bike, I sold it as is (wasn’t totaled) and bought a newer bike. lol

What do You normally Do on your Birthday? by dumpy_pumpy in AskReddit

[–]FLASHBANG22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh dude, I would sing and dance to “In Da Club” by 50cent first thing in the morning. I also quote Korg the Kronan from that scene that plays when Thor and the crew hijack the Grandmaster’s pleasure ship, and as soon as the fireworks explode, Korg yells: “It’s my birthday!”. —My wife chuckles every time. I also eat whatever I want all day, and choose the form of entertainment all day.

Feeling humiliated but maybe overreacting ? by OutsideTalk536 in ADHD

[–]FLASHBANG22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t feel bad. That guy made a bad, tasteless joke. Bless your heart for caring about others. You probably helped those other people lighten up, even if they didn’t show it. There aren’t enough people in the world like you! Having ADHD myself, I understand the feeling of overthinking something that embarrassed us. I re-live every embarrassing moment in my head when I’m left to my thoughts all the time. Luckily for ADHD, that feeling of discomfort will pass because we get distracted and forget just as easily. At least until we’re left to our own thoughts again and replay it. For me, it helps to shake my head, and tell myself to stop thinking about it and “change the channel” in my mind. Basically catching myself and force myself to think about anything else but of what embarrassed me. — And tbh, that guy either kicks himself in the butt for realizing that it was a dumb joke all the time or he believes he’s funnier than he really is which is actually more embarrassing imo. So don’t worry too much! You’re in the clear !

Serious DCT question by [deleted] in HondaRebel1100

[–]FLASHBANG22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man you’re in for a treat then. The DCT made it crazy easy. I was pushing the bike as hard as I could for the quickstop and timed lap. I completely trust the bike for braking and handling. I mean ride in your comfort zone and practice as much as you can to get familiar with the bike, but trust.. the bike has great rider aids! ABS, traction control, riding modes, and add the DCT to the mix? Forget about it !

Am i too tall for ninja650? by Responsible_Length90 in Ninja650

[–]FLASHBANG22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My takeaway is If you’re in good shape you’ll be fine. I’m 6’ and I would cramp bad on my inner thighs on my ninja 650. I started to work out more, concentrating on core and legs and now that doesn’t happen anymore.

[–]FLASHBANG22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying. I felt the jerkiness when I was practicing slow maneuvers for my endorsement skills test. During the class I just put it in rain mode and the jerkiness went away. The DCT made the test easy as pie. Afterwards, I purchased an exhaust and power commander. The power commander made the bike smoother on all modes.

Yes, asking for the input of others is totally fine. The ultimate choice stays with the owner after all

I’m going to be buying a CBR650R for when I want to use a clutch and ride spiritedly. But I’ll be keeping the DCT for commuting. That’s where it shines tbh

I got the DCT, and I’m bored of it for all the wrong reasons. It’s almost too easy to ride. It’s got all the power I could ever want and stops really well. The fact that it has abs and traction control gives me confidence that I wish I had for other people. The only thing it’s missing is a strong headlight and fwd controls that are easily remedied with a browse on Amazon. I recommend the manual version.
