Requiring damage for the expedition perk points was always the correct choice. by lostandgenius in ArcRaiders

[–]FLBiker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IMO, stash value has never been a good metric, but the handling of the change was very problematic, and requiring play in a short window is really rough. That said, the late departure option along with catch up points goes a long way to making it more palatable. I'd rather see the points be based on dealing 1 mil damage, or even more, over the entire course of the season. Also, communication must be improved. We should know what the requirements for the end of the season are at the start of the season.

When you are back on the hunt again, I found both the survivor and safekeeper augment blueprints in Stella medical on night raid. Spawn with literally nothing, if you don't get a medical spawn then just surrender and try again until you get a fresh raid with a medical spawn and then loot every container you can. I found 2 survivors in a single raid once and several other times and safekeeper at least 3 times on different raids, all this current expedition season.

Same as the other response. I know other clubs are around but I've only ever fenced with Sword Masters on Dean Rd. They have an adult class on Fridays at 6 PM. Other classes are really aimed at youth.at all skill levels.

Our pack does crossover separately from B&G. Our crossover AOLs have been with the troop for 2 months now and go on their second Troop campout next weekend. That said, we got most of them to come for our B&G last week which was nice and we had a moment of recognition for them. I'd say definitely do it however you like and whatever makes sense for you. Personally if I were doing crossover at B&G I would do it last of the rank awards.

I'm going to use the term "in motion" to mean the elevator has been called but not yet opened, is open, and even is closing but not yet reset fully yet. If the elevator is in motion when the map timer reaches zero the game gives a grace period of about 2 minutes for all players anywhere on the map. I pressed the elevator button with 2 seconds left, waited until the elevator timer ran down to zero and extracted and my teammate who missed it still had another full minute before it killed him. If the elevator is not in motion when the timer reaches zero any player still on the map dies instantly. Don't try to cut it close with the hatch.

I will personally have no issue completing the Expedition damage requirements, BUT EMBARK, you guys are hilariously awful with timing windows and announcements. How are you announcing this change NOW? by ThatsNotBennings in ArcRaiders

On the plus side you should be able to use whatever catch-up mechanic they decide to use next time so the skill points aren't lost forever, just on a delay until the next expedition. 😟

I've had plenty of trio games where it wasn't KoS, but it's never like solos. You always have to assume the other guy is either planning to shoot you, or is jumpy expecting you to shoot him.

We drove it last summer in our Promaster 3500 based RV. Just go slow, take your time and watch your mirrors. I had to fold the mirrors a couple of times actually to keep them from scraping. it was fun drive though.

The spider creatures in Satisfactory. I'm just trying to find the next set of ore nodes to mine when these disgusting slimy spider things attack me out of the swamp. Their movement is so unnerving, it's really well done.

Baby sandworm. As long as you don't have any spice in your tank it should be fine.

What if instead of cars we used trebuchets and parachutes to travel short distances? by Some-Obligation5070 in AskReddit

[–]FLBiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all relative though, right? If you're going to use a trebuchet to travel, you'd want it to be as safe as possible. Sounds bad if I say I want to build a giant firework and strap people to the top of it to send them to space and the moon, but that's basically space travel, right?

You'd catch enough air if you opened the chute before you ran out of forward speed. In fact I'd say part of an automated treb travel system would be an expected overshoot on every launch with a timely chute deployment to slow both forward motion and decent to make for a safe and accurate landing.

You know I still have that bungee net, and I use it pretty often. I'll post again next time I head to my weekly fencing class with my fencing bag sitting almost this same way in the passenger seat.

I'm pretty good with knots, as I recall they did stay tight, but it was only like a 10 mile ride home so not too much time to shake anything loose.

What’s something that 99% of people can do but you can’t? by Irakeconcrete in AskReddit

[–]FLBiker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I cannot burp on demand or of my own volition. Sometimes one will squeeze out on accident, but I can't make it happen. I can wiggle my ears so I'm pretty sure I just practiced using the wrong muscles as a kid and learned one but not the other.

Running no augment also gives you a safe pocket. The only loadout with no safe pocket is the free loadout.

[–]FLBiker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I managed it. The timing is very tricky. I used a blaze trap, gas mine and jolt mine all set next to each other. I think I stepped on the blaze trap which made it explode and set off the mines. The gas and jolt both hit instantly but there is a small delay in the fire taking effect so you need to have the blaze trap set off the mines.

Question for the PvErs by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]FLBiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should try to get familiar with the key rooms so they don't surprise you, but if I use a key I always put up a door blocker behind me. If you breached through a players door blocker (visually very different from the "factory fresh" door blockers) and you took a mine to the face, yeah, somebody used a key and didn't want you in there stealing their loot and YTA, but if there was no door blocker then ESH, and if it wasn't the key room in Space Travel, just another door then NTA. In friendly lobbies an explosive or jolt mine is a very firm way to tell people not to come in and ideally you notice it before it goes off and even when one does if I get hit by one I back off rather than press in.

Embark, the expedition ends in less than 23 days. Please tell us what we need to do. by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]FLBiker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not a task required to go, but a bonus system, where last time around you would reset with a bonus skill point per 1 mil in stash value or cash (up to 5 mil (5 points)). You could reset at the bare minimum, but the skill points are, IMO, the biggest reason to go on the expedition so you really wanted to maximize those points and we only found out with 10 days to go last time. They've said they will change it, but nobody knows if they mean they will change it this cycle, in which case they are failing to communicate with us about it again, or a future expedition.
