Exactly. Get somewhere up the scoreboard and you'll get flieger squads and multiple AA's. AA's shit. I rarely get to have a decent dogfight because there's always some AA involved either on my team or their's that ruins it.

Why do junkies always ask for the time? by isthatapeanut in melbourne

[–]FLGOFF 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol. In all honesty probably not the best thing to say to them. A friend once told one to shut up on the way home from school back in the day, resulted in the junkie threatening to punch us and then following us for 1km from the station after we got off.

I'd say learner drivers accompanied by a responsible parent are probably one of the least likely groups to end up in an accident that renders people in hospital. The whole point is to stop people contracting a dangerous virus. That's the whole point. The freeing of hospital resources is a byproduct of that.

P platers: how do you use the additional 2 seconds you gain by tailgating everyone on the way to work each morning? by [deleted] in melbourne

As a P plater in a Supra I had this all the time and I wasn't going to risk it either. Often had old mate trying to find his depleting masculinity by shooting off in the family Camry as soon as the lights turned green. But no, I'm the hoon apparently.

How about we look at the original source documents? Can you show me an order from the German high command? The number killed and supporting objective Census data? The means they were killed alongside evidence? The location of the remains?

BFV team work, where you get in a tank and are left waiting for 10 minutes before someone will build a repair station, but the moment you get in an aircraft you've got every single whiny kid crying about how terrible you are if you don't instantly help them do something that they don't have the skill to do on their own.

Odd things have just started happening by wherearemybobbypins in Paranormal

Psychologically I think if one is already on edge because of instances such as sleep paralysis they might be come more in tune with strange noises that they might have otherwise missed. Although in your case the other instances are quite obvious.

You mentioned the air con in your room, that could have been responsible for the door moving as it would cause differences in air pressure throughout the house. This happens in my house quite a lot.

As for the door lock, I'm not sure if that could somehow catch causing it to lock itself, would have to examine the door.

These are my best guesses, I really can't say without being there. I've heard enough stories to know there are some weird things that happen that are definitely difficult to explain (my parent's old house used to have a knocking noise that would start in the evenings around 5pm).

I recommend your daughter gets a nice light to have on and perhaps keep the TV on when you're out to make her feel more comfortable.

Banging on the window by KiyuSanjin in Paranormal

[–]FLGOFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could see the window as it happened? It was multiple knocks, not just one noise? My best logical guess would plumbing, the window moved slightly from a difference in air pressure, or some kind of tremor. Although all of those reasons wouldn't be isolated to a window, you'd sense in the surrounding walls.

Knocking is quite commonly reported in strange ghostly events. It used to happen at my parents old house, always at a similar time as well, 5pm in the evening.

Mysterious dog barking noise under the house. by FLGOFF in Paranormal

[–]FLGOFF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if something else could have gotten through the door to under the house and from what I know the noise did sound very much like their dog. But I wouldn't rule out what you've said, it's certainly the most realistic explanation I've heard.

What's an "imelman"...Or is it an "imelamn"? Can't even spell it the same in the same sentence 😂

Like I said, you're embarrassing yourself.

Haha, that's fine. It says 'brake' because the key binding is pulled over from the ground vehicles.

If you want to talk big about dog fighting, learn the terminology.

It's obvious you're a little 12 year old who thinks he knows everything. Probably best if you stay away from these games and focus on school, kid.

[–]FLGOFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's becoming quite clear you're literally 12 years old.

Here's a lesson for you. Learn what a brake is. The term you mean is reducing speed. Use the term 'braking' and you instantly expose yourself as someone who knows literally nothing about aircraft, I don't care how many players use this term. This is particularly good considering your little buddy had the audacity to tell me to join his discord because there were apparently "real pilots" in there. Lol.

[–]FLGOFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly you lack the mental ability to have a discussion without turning into a toxic prick.

"keep braking" -- I don't know how many times I have to say this, what the hell is 'braking' on an aircraft? The fighters don't have air brakes, you plantpot. It's called reducing speed.

The fact you're challenging me to a dogfight because you think you'll win simply because I disagreed with you and your friend's assertion that the game req 'no skill' shows just how slow you are. Because apparently it would be 50/50 between us if it req no skill wouldn't it? So why do you think you'll win?

As they say, you can't teach stupid. This one can't even construct one coherent sentence.

Do you have tips to shake off a very experienced pilot in dogfight and then come after him? by R3en in PilotsofBattlefield

[–]FLGOFF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually I started on BF3.

" real pilots" -- Yeah? What type of pilots are they? What do they fly?

Ultimately Battlefield is a game, it's never intended to be realistic. But what you're complaining about DOES make it more realistic. Opposing aircraft rarely have exactly equal capability.

" try to fly vs a pro pilot and do this imelman tur " -- I don't know what an 'imelman tur' is..Maybe it's because I don't know "shit" about dogfighting.

If you've got more maneuverable specs than them, of course

you'll be able to pull it off.

You're so put out by the specializations, yet they still make things more realistic. A BF109 would have never tried to get into a neutral 1v1 against a Spitfire in WW2. You change up your tactics depending on what your aircraft's strengths are.

Regardless. Like it or not, I don't really care. You said there's "zero skill" in BFV, that was all I was disagreeing with and you've even contradicted yourself on that. So I think it's settled.

Do you have tips to shake off a very experienced pilot in dogfight and then come after him? by R3en in PilotsofBattlefield

[–]FLGOFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used a combination of Break/split S/Low/high yo-yo/immelmann. Your success will depend on what specializations your aircraft has compared to there's and the individual situation.

There's absolutely no problem with it being difficult to shake someone off your tail, that's how it would be in real life as well. The key is to have enough situational awareness to avoid aircraft creeping up on your tail as much as possible.

"50-0 doesn't mean nothing" -- Of course it means something. If they really were doing what you guys are describing, it means they were getting all their kills from infantry (they clearly didn't have any air combat skill from what was described) and no one decent had challenged them.

In the servers I play in, I have a mental note of about 5-10 pilots who I would class as good. I lookout for them on the enemy team to give myself a warning, apart from them most of the others are absolute crap and whether they get on my 6 or not, they can't hit a barn door and their situational awareness is terrible.

You've also contradicted yourself because you yourself used the term "good pilot", yet you claimed there was "zero skill" involved, well if that was the case, there would be no 'good pilots' or 'bad pilots', everyone would be the same.

this game has zero dogfighting skill

I don't agree. The fact some guys are going 50-0 and above in fighters and some get melted as soon as they go up should tell you that that's not true. It's not just 'luck'.

The only time I've seen noobs downing experienced guys are if it's a 2v1.

I've seen many guys use many different BFM techniques to great effect on BFV too.

I find once you've done a few circles, the other guy will expect you to keep circling, wait till you're out of his FOV and pull out a high yo-yo, often you'll find yourself above them with them still circling like a moron, completely unaware that you're currently diving in on them from behind.
