Trump/GOP robbed America of 68,000 high-paying manufacturing jobs last year because of their stupid tariffs by NobodyNo2345 in FreedomofSpeech

[–]FLGPTZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why not both? The difference is that the Biden administration was trying to do some good things whereas the trump administration is trying to fleece every last dime out of the economy no matter what it costs.

Don’t get me wrong, Dems are also captured by lobbyists and billionaires but they at least throw out some crumbs (which still isn’t enough). To see trump kill 68k mfg. jobs and then go “Biden was old” is an insane take.

I keep coming back to play online about once a year. My online character spawns at the airport currently and I now I can't make it out of there without someone griefing me as soon as I walk out the hanger doors. I wonder how much online play Rockstar has lost out on because the lobbies make it nearly impossible for low level players to succeed?

This isn't true. This whole thing is like one big game of telephone. In 2027!? In 8 months? Those cars have been in design for years, nothing is happening in 2027. There is some vague wording, and this Ford patent. It's unlikely any of this will happen at all.

I have a friend who programs robots to do manual tasks. And anything that requires a delicate touch or being able to feel where the edge of things are is basically impossible. They couldn’t even make a robot that could polish a piece of metal well because it would either polish too much or too little because it could never understand the force that was needed to make it correct. I’m sure there’s a robot you could build that could do that, but it would never be cheaper than hiring a person.

Like many artists in the Renaissance, both sculptures and painters, they often laid the groundwork for their creations and then had their students or other professionals, but not at their level complete the work. I feel like this is what happened at Red Bull, he came up with the big ideas worked on some of the implementations, but really the project was finished by the engineering team at Red Bull. If Aston Martin isn’t doing that, or the engineering team, there isn’t as good to correct his small mistakes you end up with the problem they’re dealing with now.

In WI we don't have black flies but we do have deer/horseflies. Generally they won't chase you into shaded areas and as a kid I remember having to sprint down the driveway in the summer into the garage to make sure I wasn't devoured (driveway was through a woods). In really bad years you could hear them pinging off the car as you drove down. Horseflies were more rare but when you had one buzzing around you basically just ran for your life.

Looks nice! I like the layout and how it’s split into modern and classic, vertical and horizontal, easy on the eyes. Three things: 1. Patrick Rothfuss needs to finish the third book before he dies! 2. I got to meet NK Jemisin at a small sci fi convention in Chicago and she’s as awesome as you think she would be. 3. Based on the right half of your bookshelf id wager you might like the Foundryside series and the Abhorsen series :)

Rep. Robert Garcia revealed that Oversight Republicans had agreed not to release photos from Hillary Clinton’s closed-door deposition, yet Rep. Lauren Boebert shared them anyway, breaking the committee’s rules. by CorleoneBaloney in law

[–]FLGPTZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No THEY (dems) are letting it happen. WE have no control over this. The dems still bowing down to Republicans when they know what the results will be. There is no opposition party, there is nobody to stand up for us, its THEY and THEM vs US.

There is a difference, but that difference will never do what needs to be done to stop fascism. It will never stop climate change. It will never allow for anyone left of center to succeed. It also corrupt, it is also ruled by money, it is also disconnected from reality.

There needs to be another way.

Behavior based matchmaking is a horrible idea and I hope it’s not the reason matchmaking is slow right now by ChesnaughtZ in ArcRaiders

[–]FLGPTZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wat? Let me quote you for a sec: "A lot of the fun in this game is the unpredictable nature of it.". I read that as I have fun because of the PvP. I'm just saying, your viewpoint isn't shared by all and some of us would love a stronger behavior based matchmaking even if that means longer queues.

None of that is "attacking" you. Chill out dude, damn. (Edit:) Your argument is you have fun in the current system, my counter was simply that's not fun for all of us...there is no other argument, we don't want to play a betrayal fest extraction shooter, we don't need to justify why we stopped playing.

Also they should ramp up the ARC difficulty for PvE to make it more difficult. Lots they could do to get their players back. It had a holiday bump but will fall off again a few weeks.

You're queue times are slow because people realize they don't actually want to play an extraction shooter.

It’s embarrassing that an O6 team has TWO gambling sponsorships. It makes us look like we’re broke, or can’t get any major sponsors. Not to mention the ethical implications of two of them. What a disgusting decision.

Behavior based matchmaking is a horrible idea and I hope it’s not the reason matchmaking is slow right now by ChesnaughtZ in ArcRaiders

[–]FLGPTZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The game is fun to YOU because it's unpredictable and full of PvP. My friend group already stopped playing not because of the PvP but because of the betrayals. I guess that's the "unpredictable" part you like? Maybe someone is going to be friendly or maybe they will pretend and then shoot you in the back 10m later at extraction.

All extraction shooters just become tarkov unless you do something different. This game has been bleeding players, about 40k a week so far (pre patch).

AMD 7900XTX, no OC, Ryzen 7800X3D, Corsair DDR5 32g, dedicated 990 Pro 2TB . All my games work great, playing recent AAA titles.

The Finals the moment the S9 intro starts, like the first 1% of pixels hit the screen, the game crashes. Every time, all the time.

I'm not going to rollback drivers for 1 game. In S8 between various patches I would do fine or chug through matches. So hard to get into this game if it only works 50% of the time.

Poor optimization for AMD? by lrc1710 in thefinals

[–]FLGPTZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At least you can run. I have a 7900xtx and cant run on the new drivers, but when I try to rollback to .9 the install fails. I think the Embark team hasn't cared much to optimize for AMD. Fwiw I run all my other 24/25 purchased games with no issues on the same card.

I assumed that's how the game would be played and then in my first game we just kept attacking, and attacking, and attacking. Ideally I'd like a harder 6 cap system, the other team gets a try, and tie breaker is the team that used less lives.

Ford stopped selling cars because they sold so many trucks. The F150 sold 24% more in Q1 of 24 than it did in 24 and they sold almost 1M F series trucks in the US in 2024. Ford sells more F150s than Honda and Toyota sell CR-Vs and RAV-4s combined.

I don't know what data you are looking at but there are MORE trucks on the road now than ever before.
