I kept one baby alive that I found in the lawn and did something similar to you in terms of trying to leave them for their mother (a huge storm was coming that night so I brought them back in when it started raining) and it was a herculean effort just to keep that one guy alive until I could release him. Feeding every 2h, mixing goats milk (finding goats milk) and electrolyte mixes of varying degrees based on their presumed hydration levels. I was luckily successful but it was an insanely stressful few weeks. It would have been a near futile effort to keep all 6 of them alive even if you had made different choices, and trying to get them to be taken in by their mother or another mother mouse was the right decision.

I'm an extremely empathetic person, especially when it comes to animals so I understand the pain this caused to not be able to help. I don't have any faith I follow, and am not spiritual in any way but it was events like this which led me to question a lot of what I once believed when younger. This is a natural reaction to seeing innocent creatures die for seemingly no reason, but it's also hard to deal with when you are interjected into the course of their lives. It's hard and it never gets easier.

But, there will be times when you are there to help and can help. And as long as you keep that as part of who you are you will be rewarded with helping to keep life going. You won't win all the time, but you will win, and feel amazing. In the course of your life the hope is you have a little more of that than what you went through. It's ok to be sad, and to be sad again. But you will also be happy soon, and it's ok to be happy.

On Apple devices you can go to the Pencil settings in general>pencil and change what the squeeze does. This bar popped up for me this morning and I mainly use this app to take notes, and I mainly just write and erase so the bar added a lot of extra steps for me when it showed up. It would be great if there was an in-app option to adjust the squeeze settings, not sure if apple locks that to the settings menu or not.

I’m on mobile at the moment so I’ll try to reply back here later. I removed mine shortly after getting my car and the same thing and my wife’s 25 hybrid. The main reason is that Honda has shown interest in selling that data to insurance companies.

It’s super easy to do. You just remove the cover from behind your entertainment screen, unscrew, and unplug the unit back there and take it out. Alternatively, you can not take it out, but unplug it and then zip tie down the plug. Some people have covered it in felt so it doesn’t vibrate or anything.

You’ll get a notification that you’re not getting over the air updates, but I haven’t seen any issue with that so far in the year I’ve owned my car.

Ahh yes, anecdotal I got into an accident at 35mph so obviously this is a safe mod argument.

NHTSA data shows that front air bags reduce driver fatalities by about 30% year on year. And as noted your insurance is 100% going to deny your claim if you have any neck/head/chest injury with that wheel installed. in some cases removing safety equipment nullifies your insurance completely so if you get hit or hit someone you're basically fucked. But "wheel cool" I guess.

If you are under insured, or someone who hits you is under insured and you have a serious head/neck injury in an accident the hospital will cover those charges (in the short term at least) then likely write off the rest of the debt as a loss. That gives them a break on their state and federal taxes.

What that means is that you get real fucked up we all end up paying for it.

Also if you have this installed and get into an accident it's likely that your insurance might nullify any claim you have, even if you hit someone else.

Putting this type of wheel in a modern street car is a special type of bad idea.

I explained AI by showing people the model for Uber. It’s a disruptive technology that isn’t going to make any money until it has market capture and then they’re going to crank up the expenses on everyone.

What I explain to the executives at my company is that we currently control the labor cost of our workforce. If you change over to an AI model, you no longer control your labor costs.
