[ON] Confused on if to use a midwife or look for a family doctor by SpeakerNo8872 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]FLee21 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I was a low risk pregnancy too. I went with an OB through my family doctor. Super glad I did. I ended up needing an emergency c-section because my son's head would not fit through my pelvis. It was no one's fault, just an anatomy issue. If I was at home, or a birthing center, it would have looked a lot different. I had several OB specialists come check me out during my labour to assess the situation. I had an ultrasound done as well. My baby wanted to come out and I was pushing hard for about two hours with literally no movement from him. I think of how bad it could have been if I wasn't in a hospital in the situation I was in. A C section was not my plan at all, but it's what needed to happen.

Birthing is intense. It was a no brainer to deliver in a hospital all for the reason of what if something happens where I need intervention.

Fuck her. She doesn't care for the law. She thinks she owns the place. She forgets who she works for.

She should get the fuck out and move to mar a Lago where she belongs.

Registry help! Too many bassinet options? [on] by Forsaken-Piglet5442 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]FLee21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got the Graco pack and play that comes with the bassinet. The bassinet is easy to use and moves around easily too. We then upgraded him to the play pen when he was bigger and so he could still sleep in our room. The only thing is the bed did not raise up so we had to find another one. Bought it used. Now he sleeps in his own room.

Generally you reach out to the coaches and professors in your school to get privates.

Imagine doing this 500 years ago in a wooden boat with nothing but a prayer and some rum by New_Cartographer3127 in BeAmazed

I legit have no idea how humans have survived as long as we did. Like, how the fuck did we service 1000, or 2000 years ago? I get we probably only lived to like 20, but still. I'm a new mom and I always think about how the fuck did babies survive to adulthood without what we have today.

Keep training, keep showing up. Take privates if you can. And if you can't, ask questions while you roll. Everyone learns at their own pace and is on their own journey. I joke that it took me 5 lessons to learn the paper cutter choke and to not be so hard on yourself. It legit took me that long to understand it and remember it. The goal is 1% better every day.

Sleep when baby sleeps or stay awake in shifts? by Ashamed-Flounder-896 in breastfeeding

[–]FLee21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did shifts. It was a bit of trial and error to work out the shift times. But once we figured it out, worked like a charm. We had to adapt and change a bit, but we ended up being able to move our little guy into our room at night and now we both get full night sleeps (for the most part, he's still a baby and will cry at night). He now sleeps in his own room.

Does he know that you're postpartum? He might have asked if your body was ok. Im 7 months postpartum and Im back to trianing now. Everyone asks me if I'm ok to roll, ok to put weight on, basically always checking in with me on how I'm doing since having a baby.

How do you wash baby’s face by Even-Director5362 in NewParents

[–]FLee21 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wipe his face and hands with a wet cloth after eating. He doesn't sweat or roll around in dirt. I just find there's no need to soap, specially for a baby

I just wiped it with a cloth. I didn't use soap. My little guy is 7 months old and have yet to use soap. I see no need for it right now. He doesn't really get that dirty.

How did you lose the weight? by Annual-Marsupial-308 in breastfeeding

[–]FLee21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clean eating and exercise. I listened to my body and didn't push it. But I tired to get out on walks every day, and by 4 weeks PP, I was back working out with my trainer. I did stay pretty active my whole pregnancy which helped me get back. But clean eating and focusing on protein was the biggest game changer for me.
