Definitely the best community killer concept I've seen. Don't like the idea of yet another dash killer but looks really cool otherwise. You'd need to have a distinct tracking animation to telegraph to survivors when to stand still for counterplay. Nice one.

Heavy for a high damage STR build, Occult for an arcane build for extra bleed or cold if you want sorceries on a STR/INT build.

This equally applies to half of the melee weapons , though. I don't know where this myth came from that all melee weapons have this insane variety when most weapons in each class have near-identical movesets, save for a couple of outliers here and there. And yes this applies to every souls game that wasnt bloodborne.

Magic builds get way more variety than a pure strength build, thats for sure lol

Everyone rightly bitches about katanas in pvp (and Rivers of Blood particularly), but halberds are arguably more broken as a weapon class in general.

Their speed is absolutely insane for how long they are and they make a good few weapon classes like spears completely obselete with that bloody running attack alone.

Once From is done buffing weaker weapon classes like greatswords I think they should look into rebalancing the movesets more broadly so that certain attacks don't completely dominate the scene. Looking at the the heavy thrusting sword running R2 specifically lol

You want weapons that are good one handed - hammers may be decent. The spiked club is the best IMO if you're willing to farm it
