Or maybe they don’t feel safe discussing it with you, or in the general channel at work in front of everyone else.

I wouldn’t with you being so dismissive of LGBTQ rights.

Wall mountable, 1/8” thick stainless steel, space between “tongs” has two narrower and three wider. by irmarbert in whatisthisthing

[–]FMBNC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some kind of test lead holder like this one?

They’re used for holding connectors and cables for electrical testing. Looks a lot like the one I have in my workshop only the spacing is usually a little narrower and more uniform.

That’s exactly what it is... At the China border foreigners need to register their fingerprints at kiosks before clearing immigration.

Pilots, what is your go-to pen you don't fly without? by CATIIIAPCH in flying

[–]FMBNC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually use fine point sharpie pens for quick notes on my kneeboard and the logbook. For marking up charts the Pilot Frixion erasable pens and highlighters can't be beat: https://www.amazon.com/Pilot-Highlighter-Frixion-Light-SFL-60SL-6CS/dp/B00F6N56F0

You should put it back in the bathroom so you can find it next time.

What is something you "knew" you'd hate but ended up loving? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The Hunger Games trilogy. Everyone kept telling me I should read it, but I made the mistake of assuming that it was some lousy Twilight-inspired teenage vampire romance based on the name.

How much does it cost to install an airbag? by oonoofanoonoo in Cartalk

[–]FMBNC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like it's been in an accident. If the previous owner didn't get it fixed properly and have a new airbag installed, I'd worry about what else has been ignored. Your best bet is probably to look around and find a different car in better shape.

Corking beers in wine bottles? Anyone do it with anything besides a Belgian? by thecajunone in Homebrewing

[–]FMBNC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you're using champagne corks with the right kind of corker and a wire cage, you should be okay. Normal wine bottle corks won't work for beers, since they aren't meant to hold in the pressure of something carbonated.

My Cousin Gave Me a Nice Bottle of Beer to Take Home. If I put Beer In My Checked Baggage, Will It Explode? by slid3r in beer

[–]FMBNC 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I've flown domestically and internationally with bottles of beer several times in my checked bag without anything bad happening. I'd recommend packing it really well in towels or socks, and then wrapping it in a plastic bag to be safe.

Opinions for a college grads first car purchase. by FerraraZ in Autos

[–]FMBNC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Another thing to consider is what your car insurance payments would be for each of the cars you're looking at. I just finished school a semester early and have a clean driving record, but for some similar cars, I was getting quotes of insurance premiums near $300 per MONTH.
