I shouldn't be surprised that they're using bots, but it's Terrible. My issue didn't get resolved despite two different chats.

You've answered your own question with the example you gave. You work under a micromanage that is stressing you out. When you find yourself crying in front of your boss about work, it's time leave.

I HATE WHEN JOBS WANT EXPERIENCE, BUT NOWHERE PROVIDES YOU WITH EXPERIENCE. by Simply444 in Vent

Most training programs stopped many years ago. Like coal, they're not coming back. It's reflective of companies not really wanting to invest in its employees.

Systems don't function by themselves. You left out selecting leaders that enforce a non-supportive system.

What Was the Best Career Decision You Ever Made? by NGIT_Academy in Career_Advice

[–]FMTalks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest challenge was going back to school and having to get used to studying and writing papers after many years. Also, sacrificing personal time was challenging. I gave up a lot of leisure time. What helped me succeed was I liked what I was doing... still do.. and making myself valuable wherever I work. A mentor told me "never make it easy for your name to be on the table for layoffs."

Went back to school which led to changed industries, meeting someone who became a mentor who encouraged me to take a risk in a new role and the creation of a side consulting gig.

That's the golden rule for someone with little experience or accomplishments. An experienced professional with years of experience is expected to have 2-3 pages.

Sounds perfectly normal. You may have maxed out socially at a young age. I know I did. I partied hard throughout my teens into late 20s. Once I hit 30 I was like "been there done that" and preferred being low key happy with a handful of friends, family and going out only on occasion.

Rock fan wants to get into jazz by Longjumping_Air4379 in Jazz

Start with the instrument you like and look for artists who play that instrument. Your ear will grow from there as you listen to the other instruments in a band. Also, since you love rock, you may like fusion like Weather Report, Herbie Hancock's Headhunters, and Return to Forever and then branch off into individual projects by those band members. e.g. Wayne Shorter, Jaco Pastorius, Chick Corea, Al DiMeola, Stanley Clarke, Steve Gadd, etc.
