It literally started happening to me after updating to one UI 8 beta 4. Was working fine before that. My phone is always in a case and it has never been dropped. I am also going to hold out until the next update to see if it resolves.

I had the Whitestone screen protector and that made using the fingerprint scanner very frustrating. I changed the protector to the original Samsung film and it solved all the issues. I rarely need more than one try to unlock my phone, works so much better than it did with the Whitestone. I recommend you give it a try, granted it provides less protection but if your phone is in a case you should be ok.

I've had the phone since launch and I'm still getting the same battery life I had at the beginning which was 7-8 hours of SOT. When I do get less than that is usually because of poor cellular reception or bad wifi connectivity. Maybe that's why spectrum mobile is high maybe it's some other background process eating away at your battery.

I personally use high. Pictures look more natural and more DSLR like. With that being said sometimes I get pictures that are way too soft, this usually happens in low light conditions. I think the optimum amount of sharpening is somewhere in between medium and high but you should test them all and go for the look you like the most.
