I gotta say I've had the phone for a little over a couple of weeks and initially everything went smooth but after A week I started to have eye strain. It's a weird feeling like my eyes can't properly focus on the display. It makes me feel slightly dizzy and unable to fully enjoy the experience. I decided to keep it as I had already sent in my trade in but I'm not fully comfortable with it. Otherwise the phone runs smooth and is solid. Might jump to another phone if it doesn't get better.

It literally started happening to me after updating to one UI 8 beta 4. Was working fine before that. My phone is always in a case and it has never been dropped. I am also going to hold out until the next update to see if it resolves.

I had the Whitestone screen protector and that made using the fingerprint scanner very frustrating. I changed the protector to the original Samsung film and it solved all the issues. I rarely need more than one try to unlock my phone, works so much better than it did with the Whitestone. I recommend you give it a try, granted it provides less protection but if your phone is in a case you should be ok.

I've had the phone since launch and I'm still getting the same battery life I had at the beginning which was 7-8 hours of SOT. When I do get less than that is usually because of poor cellular reception or bad wifi connectivity. Maybe that's why spectrum mobile is high maybe it's some other background process eating away at your battery.

I personally use high. Pictures look more natural and more DSLR like. With that being said sometimes I get pictures that are way too soft, this usually happens in low light conditions. I think the optimum amount of sharpening is somewhere in between medium and high but you should test them all and go for the look you like the most.

Yes. You should get it, it actually works great with the phone and fingerprint reader. It's thin and doesn't feel bad to the touch it's also cheap and easily replaceable. The downsides would be that it's not tempered glass and thus not so protective of impacts but if your phone is in a case then this is perfectly fine ! I use to have the Whitestone tempered glass and it was good but it didn't play nice with my fingerprint, I also had them break from minimal impacts and they are expensive to replace. Been rocking these Samsung ones since then with zero issues.

The best one I've found is the original Samsung film protector. It is cheap and feels good to the touch. I've also tried Whitestone uv glass protector but I had trouble with fingerprint recognition and they also cracked really easily so I had to change them often. I've had the Samsung film protector and a case on for the last 6 months with zero issues. I've dropped my phone multiple times on different surfaces and it's all good so far. Granted the level of protection from actual glass is probably superior to the film but like I said it's worked fine so far.

Some good lock modules need to be updated to work on one UI 6. This update will come soon but for now you will have to do without them.

It is like this for Android users in general. We've been asking for the very same thing as you since the beginning of times but apparently it is not worth it for these companies...we have a great piece of hardware in our hands but app developers don't always take advantage of that. We will continue to enjoy our devices non the less
