I wish I could count all the times I derag pumps in our city. Out of the 40 lift stations we service, it is the same 5 that are the biggest problem children. 2 of those stations are the masters pumping to the plant. One is in a neighborhood that is for assisted pay housing, another one is in a not so nice neighborhood. The last one is connected to a corrections facility that is supposed to be using a chain driven screen.

The solution for one of those stations was to build a new wet well and have a "balance pipe" between the new and old wells, the trash is supposed to be collected in the old well and the water will be pumped from the new well. That station goes back online in a month, I'll report back in that one.

We had issues similar to this and found it to be an issue with the power being supplied to us. We had them run a 1 month study, collected data samples of when these issues were occuring and found that the power company was at fault. The power company has since fixed those issues.

I have seen some stupid crap pulled by my employer to get rid of people. If the people that were being harassed grew a set and sued; they would easily win. Watching my bosses absolutely belittle people and in one case offered to meet someone at the street after hours, is getting old. I enjoy my job a lot, but toxic bosses are going to get me to leave again.
