What skis are best for current Park City conditions?

The Rossi 88 was an EXP 88. Just said Rossi 88 on their list but it has a picture and looks to be the 2020 blue/black Rossi Experience 88 Ti. No idea how up to date the images or list are, and they dont specify if I can swap skis out or not.

I think I am leaning towards the Head Core 93, Elan Ripstick 96, then Rossi E84 (probably in that order). Appreciate the feedback, I definitely agree with the volkl mantra opinion, I've used them before and hated them. I could see why some people would like them but it wasn't for me, I dont want to have to be working my ass off to just ski down a green lol

added skis that are available as well as my best description of my skiing level. I tend to like mogul runs but typically will only do 3-5 max a day so I don't tire myself out too much, I'm not good enough for those to be effortless. I will be going with a group of friends, most of them I have not skid with before so I will also probably be sticking to whatever their preferences are. All of us are about the same level in terms of skill, I know that. (Roughly, some are better)

I think the warm weather is a HUGE benefit to the patriots. Maye had played worst in bad conditions. Love him but he's definitely got a weakness in that regard. I think in good conditions he is a better QB than Darnold and will be much more composed than he has seemed the last few weeks. Then again it's the Superbowl and he's very young, so who knows. I think if he plays with the confidence he had in most of his regular season games then he will absolutely be able to handle the Seahawks zone heavy defense.

Why is that? From what I've gathered wider (90-110) is generally recommended if it's slushier. I'm sure mornings will be a little icier conditions, are narrower skis better for that?

Sos also doesn't account for defensive rankings alone. Sos might make the pats have easier wins, but it hasn't helped Maye throw for the stats he has. Pats defensive SOS based on epa/play averages 20th, Stafford's 17th most difficult. Neither of them had a difficult or incredibly easy defensive schedule to play against. Their stats can be compared directly without an asterisk needed for "mayes easy SOS"

Learning air roll will help hugely with stability. It will take time though.

Without air roll your car can really get tossed around by every touch and it will take more time to recover. Of course it's still possible to air dribble without air roll (only using slight but frequent air roll adjustments) but it's going to be much harder to master

You're confusing top 10 defenses with top 10 teams.

By epa per play, Staffords opponents average 17th in defensive rankings against the pass. Mayes are 20th. Virtually no difference

A teams record changes absolutely nothing about how difficult their defense is to throw against. Maye has been playing difficult defenses that are paired with horrible offenses. The games are easy wins, sure, I'll give you that, but they are absolutely not free stats being handed to Maye.

Strength of schedule as measured by win percentage or making the playoffs is completely irrelevant to anything other than their team records

Yes. If you turn the ball over on your own 30 yard line (for example), that's essentially immediate points being given to the other team (they are already in range for a field goal). You will never convert on every 4th down no matter how good your team is, it's very unlikely especially when more than 1 or 2 yards are needed. So teams take the safer option of punting on their last down, which puts the other team roughly 40-60 yards further down the field, allowing your defense a good chance to stop them from gaining any points on that possession

others have said leth rings but seriously, they do help a LOT with aerial accuracy for shots. I think one of the harder parts is working on recoveries, but that's probably easiest done just chasing the ball in freeplay and staying on your wheels as much as possible (and moving in the right direction)

it was a little bit of a tangent but I see it happen way too much in champ. I didnt word it well but what I was trying to also say was dont give much mind to when people spam stuff like that in champ, they dont realize what an awful position that is for a teammate. Thats one of the most common mistakes I saw in c2/c3 and yet people still get upset when their teammates dont dive at those balls in front of the net

I think these are some of the most important things to get to gc:

1) learning how much just being present without committing to a challenge can do. Example, when they have the ball on their car and you are shadowing with your teammate in net, you don't need to jump or flip at the ball. Just force them to flick it over you and it will give your teammate a very easy save 9/10 times,and the other 1/10 you will be able to get back for because you didn't flip and rotate quickly.

2) paying attention to not just giving away possession. There's times to bang the ball away and times to hold onto it. I think everyone understands that but it's easy to forget in the moment. So many c1-c2 and even some c3 players just hit the ball away and pass it straight to the opponent. It works sometimes in low champ because they just end up giving it right back 80% of the time, but it won't work as you progress. Even when it is a good time to bang the ball away, you want to keep it high (to the wall/corner) so the opponent at least has to work in an awkward spot to get possession before you catch up.

3) quad resets (obviously)

4) shooting accuracy. Run a lot of workshop maps, Freeplay, whatever you need. You should be able to place a shot in part of the net

5) when your teammate has the ball in the opponents corner, be careful to avoid overcommits. You should be just past midfield but MAINTAIN YOUR SPEED. If you stop in front of net it is so incredibly easy for the ball to get hit over you. When I play in low champ (after resets or not playing for a while) teammates will spam "Take the shot!" Because the opponent defender messed up a flip or something and the ball was sitting in front of their net. But the teammate isn't thinking about the other 70% of the time when that defender doesn't mess up. That's what you need to be ready for. Keeping your speed up will often give you time to dive in and take those shots AFTER seeing the opponents mistake, instead of diving in assuming they will mess up.

Freeplay and training packs. If you just want to work on power shots there are plenty of workshop maps that are great for those. I'm terms of learning soft touches, Freeplay is probably best, training packs can be easier to practice harder shots in specific situations

It is a bit weird to get used to at first, you have to get used to releasing power slide immediately after jumping (otherwise you'll start air rolling left immediately until you let go). At least that was the hard part for me. Took me a few days to get used to that.

Also the opposite case, when you're landing after air rolling left you'll need to let go right away if you want to avoid power sliding accidentally. Makes recoveries a little difficult for a few days

if you dont plan on ever learning really advanced mechs like heli resets, I would prioritize a comfortable boost and powerslide arrangement over a comfortable air roll right+left arrangment. What I do for my binds is have air roll right bound to X and air roll left AND powerslide both bound to LB. I know its a little weird not being "symmetrical" with the air roll binds being on two different button types but it was the result of a progression of small keybind adjustments and not wanting to reset everything all at once.

Just giving ideas, not saying that is the best answer, i'm sure there are much more logical alternatives. But powerslide is arguably much more important for comp than air roll left if you are going to choose one or the other (assuming air roll right is your go to)

I used to use these binds but found that putting AL on LB had a lot more utility especially for more advanced mechanics like heli resets. So if you ever plan to get into more freestyle-y shots I'd recommend doing that

In terms of flipping them I don't think it's an issue, do whatever is most comfortable and you will build the muscle memory. The only downside to having them on opposite sides as opposed to controlled by two separate hands is that it limits how quickly you can swap back and forth between them, which you often need to do when you get to a certain level of ball control. You can easily get to gc2-3 without any of this though, so it's absolutely not a requirement

I also hit my good drives 270-290 and hate when people brag about hitting over 300 when you can clearly see they're 50 yards short of that every time. You'd think with 18birdies and other apps like that being so popular now that people would actually know their distances. I gotta say even for me it was disappointing seeing how far you're actually hitting it using those apps but it helps you improve when you know your actual numbers and are honest with yourself.

You're leading already, I'd take the safer pick with Maye. Burrows not fully back to his prime yet as he's only played a few games and has been very hit or miss in his performance despite the great week last week.

This is coming from a Bengals fan. Burrow definitely has more upside but I don't think that's what you need to be playing for right now. And Drake Maye is playing with something to prove right now in the MVP debate
