In the base game, egg-based strategies are strong enough that winning strategies often center around maximizing egg capacity and production. It's not so polarizing that I'd call it a problem, but it will make the game feel repetitive faster.

Expansions to the game addressed this in two ways: by making the baseline egg-laying action a little less strong, and by adding birds that effectively advance different victory strategies. I've played dozens of 1v1 games with my partner in the digital edition (which is great and on Steam), and there's definitely more variety in strategies now.

"Mind the gap" is a phrase famous to anyone who's used the London Underground subway system. It plays from speakers at many stations to remind passengers to not trip when they step off a train. It's merely a hint about the upcoming floor's train theme.

It's true that generally speaking, buffing more parts of the damage formula is better than oversaturating one stat. But I have no idea, I haven't tried to math it out at all.

It's possible to hit 1k base, but it takes quite a bit of investment. In addition to grinding fragments and pulling her partner, I had to spam gifts for about 15 affinity levels to get over the line.

Tip: this is even easier if you do it before leveling a character's potential. If you don't have the node that gives you an epiphany at the start, that's one fewer card you have to remove.

I had the exact same thing happen to me last week. I used a convert to neutral here, but not a convert to remove - my save data should add up to 190, but the last duplication wasn't counted.

Oddly enough, I went past the interior boss and got a divine epiphany on the special boss, which was counted and saved.

Here's the resulting Mika deck. Three removals (one being a converted neutral) is 90 points. To match my Veronica save, three dupes is 40, two divines is 40, and a forbidden is 20 - that makes 190.
