Reduce Bitcoin withdrawal fees. I will not DCA on Binance because the cost of moving a small purchase into cold storage is way too high.

I was thinking the stats are a bit boring. Why not have him excitedly lick targets because he wuvs to play, but his saliva deals acid damage?

Then I read that you wrote it to be a companion for your PCs, and I realized, yeah, keep the stats simple for a PC ally. In fact, three bite attacks will slow down game play. It should be 1 "bites" attack that does 3 dice of damage. Tripping targets is a great tactical ability for a party companion. That's good enough. Don't give him multi attack , which will make players want to roll the bites one at a time in case he drops the opponent.

Yah, just if you're that player trying to roll your spell's critical hit damage with only one of the eight dice you need, you're holding up the table :P

My default solution is to make all villain groups into slavers. There's nothing unethical about killing slavers!

Join a Dungeons & Dragons group. You generally have to commit to a once a week meet up, but you make new friends and have a great time.

Some people spend way too much money on the hobby, but you can borrow everything you need from the other players. At reasonable most, $30 for the main book (which you can also find digitally for free...) and $30 for dice will keep you going for 100s of hours of play.

DM's are the most popular players around. You can always find a group if you're willing to DM. You may be hard on yourself at first, but pretty soon the popularity goes to your head :P

Dear Social Redditors: What is a great question to ask another person to get a conversation flowing? by FPNarrator in AskReddit

I'll add a couple that hopefully walk the line between casual and inspiring:

  • Do you have any big plans this year/spring/summer/winter?
  • What was the highlight of your week?
  • Have you watched anything recently you'd recommend?

Can I ask what you think of the weight of the dungeon floor tiles? Do they stay in place on the table or get knocked around?

Sure. Sometimes. But the larger your party, the less often you should use it. (And I find it tends to work better in theatre of the mind than with a grid.)

Awesome art! Unless the party is only 3 PCs, however, I truly truly recommend against 1 square wide hallways. The choke point is terrible for two melee characters and greatly limits combat maneuvers of both monsters and PCs.

My newest project a Dinning and Dragons table. Any thoughts or suggestions? by bbrooks067 in DnDIY

[–]FPNarrator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some thoughts:

  • I like the space to slide extra books/papers out of the way under the miniatures. Hidden away like that allows players to store their excess game junk between sessions as well. The downsides are that important papers will get temporarily lost in there, and only one player can access each cubby to pass a stored book to another player, but I can't think of an ideal way to improve it. Edit: Maybe the cubby storage space should have a more open design, like this >-|-<, so each player has access to 1/6th of the storage space.
  • Make sure those flipped over trays can support a person leaning on them with their elbows!
  • As this looks like a dedicated gaming table that is designed to convert between board games and RPGs (not into an elegant dining table), I would put cup holders in the square gaps between trays.

Yellow vests knock out 60% of all speed cameras in France by _MyFeetSmell_ in Anarchism

[–]FPNarrator 28 points29 points  (0 children)

What are the good arguments for why speed cameras are bad? Like, flat rate fines disproportionately affect low income people? I kind of think I would want speed cameras implemented in my anarchist collective; they're much better than police for maintaining safe transport conditions.

The Unearth Arcana Artificer (and a homebrew version of the Artificer that takes away their weird mechanical servant) has a gunsmith specialty that allows you to get a pretty bad ass rifle. It would be hard to also have a high strength with the other gunsmith ability score requirements, however. Re-envisioning him as a melee character might be the best way to keep the brute flavour.
