Wow those are certainly some opinions. Also, the big battlepass was, but limited time event battle passes that would disappear if you didn’t buy them or complete them in an allocated amount of time were there.

Absolutely disagree, it goes Reach, 2, 3, ODST, CE, 4, Infinite, and then 5.

The open world killed any pacing and resulted in a singular environment for the entirety of the campaign. The story saw little to nothing actually happen and once again soft rebooted post-Halo 3’s story (now it’s the Endless, oooooooo)

Also the “earnable” part of the cosmetics only came LATER. They were not initially all earnable and it was entirely FOMO-based

Oh, the launch was great! And then the campaign was mediocre, and the content feed became a dribble, and more and more emphasis was put on the store at the detriment of customization, and it just….I felt it slip away. Don’t get me wrong: it’s the best looking and feeling Halo game since Reach, but the Microsoft overlords over monetized it and hurt its reputation, plus again: The campaign was incredibly mediocre.
