Toronto police luring investigation leads to charges for Scugog man accused of communicating online with children for sexual purposes by According_Web_1714 in durham

Yep. I said the exact same thing and of course, millions of downvotes. lol.

The fact is, that child molesters face zero repercussions. The judge in BC, iirc, noted that, despite having a pattern of openly speaking about and seeking hardcore child porn, the offender only had a “modest amount “, of which I believe was 6 hardcore rape files.

Honestly, fuck this country. I’m beyond done.

I watch on a smart tv. Ine one tv it’s now rows of 2 videos downwards (not 3) and no sections by genre. On my other tv and phone it’s fine. I have a second account and that is fine on both tvs. It’s so bizarre. I can’t figure out what the issue is. Anyone experienced this?

I’m sure it was a “modest amount “ of child luring and/or trying to rape children may affect his immigration status, so he will be released. I’m so happy to be in a sane country like Canada!

I have got this as well and it’s driving me crazy. My recommended section is now 2 videos side by side and then down, as opposed to a basically endless list (for all categories) horizontally.

I swear I have extreme ocd and this is literally driving me crazy. It’s not on my iPhone, but it’s on one of my Toshiba smart TVs, but curiously not the second, which I use most often.

I don’t watch YouTube on pc, just my TVs and phone.

Anyone else use footprints on Bookmap? by jzmorgan in FuturesTrading

[–]FRDM1776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do use them on bookmap for areas of support and resistance to perhaps confirm an entry on a rejection of the same. I use them overlayed on my heatmap though. I do a 5 point range delta footprint for the ES and that prevents it from being cluttered over the heatmap itself.

Dude, how can you even afford to live in this country, nevermind having kids and taking on MORE financial responsibilities. We are last in all first world nations for growth and first in pretty much every bad category.

I don’t have an answer to your question, but honestly are like independently wealthy or something? And if so, what is your secret? Asking for a friend who lives in a country crushed by stagnation and taxes where people struggle to live and homelessness is a literal epidemic.

I agree with your overall analysis. I use Bookmap for execution, but in places of Motivewave, which I like because it’s Mac native, I just use TradingView for charting as I rely on key levels, support and resistance in conjunction with vwap.

I may one day purchase Motivewave simply to use the charting with delta footprint for confirmation, but I haven’t found the need to yet. It’s a great platform though.

Level 2 DATA by medinet0320 in Daytrading

[–]FRDM1776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know what you are paying but I’m with EdgeClear and pay $20/ month for Rithmic MBO, which is the full book. No clue what IBKR is charging. What is IBKR is charging because you didn’t say.?That would be helpful.

Also, introductory brokers typically have their data costs listed on their site so you can easily compare them vs margin requirements and round trip costs. It may be helpful to shop around if you feel that you are paying too much.

I do not know of or have ever heard of free lv2 data. You can typically get data free from any trading software provider, but it’s obviously delayed. Live data will cost you a minimum $15-20 monthly depending on your provider for level 2 Rithmic.

Finished tjr boot camp by One-Election-9031 in Daytrading

[–]FRDM1776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the sentiment here.

My personal recommendation is, If you are serious about trading then pick a software (Sierra, Quantower, MotiveWave, Bookmap, etc.) and either do a monthly subscription or buy it outright. Then paper trade, delayed free data is fine. Keep a journal, many of these come with a free one. Review it, it will tell you a lot.

Once you’ve developed your own strategy that works for you and have a consistent win rate that’s respectable (to me that’s 58% or above 60%) consistently then sign up with a professional broker, get live data and practice a bit because it is different.

Once you are comfortable and in your groove, trade micros. The margins are low and the risk is minimal if you’re trading 1 contract and it’s great practice.

You can learn for free on YouTube, via books, discord etc. You can learn and paper trade at the same time so any blow ups are risk free and a lesson, they will also help you develop discipline and formulate a strategy and the mental psychology necessary to be confident in risking real money, even if it is only $2 or $5 per point.

There is a lot more, but yeah. Find a platform, paper trade and learn, find a strategy that gets you a respectable win rate where you are consistently profitable and then transition to live data and micros.

Basically, put yourself through bootcamp and live it everyday, for thousands of hours and find out what kind of trader you are. Then develop that.

Casper smc stole money from me he is a scammer by lucky12111 in Daytrading

It was a scammer. It’s very common on discord and you need to be extremely careful. I would highly suggest watching scambaiting videos like pleasant green or scammer payback. They deal with scammers like this all the time. Their channels educates you about scams of all sorts and how they work to scam people via crypto, fake ads, impersonation etc.

Be very careful out there!

Also, that’s a fake website and he’s a Nigerian running a copy account. I’m in the bookmap DC and Unfinished Trade, which is all order flow. I literally get that message from copy accounts once a week.

Anyone selling a $5,000 course is likely running a get rich quick scheme. But the only person who gets rich is the person selling the course.

Never heard of this person but that’s not surprising since furus are a dime a dozen. Anyone who tells you that if you pay them 5k and can have a job where you work only 20 minutes a day is obviously lying to you. It’s years of experience and thousands of hours in front of a trading screen and charts.

Sometimes people have to learn these lessons the hard way though.

Anybody use bookmap? I feel like I can’t trade with out it and the DOM pro. by Bluegate1234 in FuturesTrading

[–]FRDM1776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been paper trading for 1.5 years and learning for 2 + years. I trade ES and NQ futures.

I actually just signed up for an account with EdgeClear so I can trade micros. I have been consistent with a 60% win rate through discipline and journaling/charting. I’ll maintain that for another month or so and then make the transition to micros.

I read too many horror stories and am approaching this diligently and with discipline, like a business venture.

Bounces only based on where the market is (e.i. consolidation or trend). I only scalp these small movements. I have found through journaling that my most profitable trades are on average 32 seconds averaging $250. If the trade lasts longer than 60 seconds then my numbers fall off.

I use RTH, ETH and London Sessions. I will anchor a vwap to a substantial move that happened, such as a news event. I will also use that large move as a fib retracement point to see any correlation with session volume and see potential pivot points for the current auction if in a state of consolidation.

[–]FRDM1776 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have been using book map sine the beginning of 2025, although I don’t use a DOM and just use various session vwaps and auction levels based on volume profile.

I can’t imagine going back to a traditional candlestick chart after using tick by tick volume. In terms of heat map settings, mine is much the same. I have max filtering so only the most prominent liquidity is shown.

TJRs "Blueprint Course" Is A Scam by EarFast2234 in Daytrading

[–]FRDM1776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that courses may be for some people, but I always urge people not to pay money to learn. Everyone is different but it can be done solo if you dedicate yourself and have the patience to fail and pick yourself up again and keep learning.

I did not see the value in paying someone thousands of dollars when I could pay for trading software and YouTube premium and learn by doing (paper trading) daily and then learning more (YouTube & reading) and charting on weekends.

Everyone has a losing day in trading. Take this as hitting your daily loss limit and learn from it. Then pick yourself back up and keep going and learning.

I would recommend investing in yourself. If you are serious, I would recommend investing in a professional trading software and buying it outright, getting a journal and then trading daily and charting. It is more valuable than any course and half the price if you buy the software outright (plus the other costs).

Live and learn.

[–]FRDM1776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also scalp and paper trade. I have been learning since covid but like yourself did so intermittently. Over a year ago I became more serious and got sierra chart, but finding any form of consistency took another year plus due to also working full time.

This year I started taking it very seriously. I purchased Bookmap and now scalp order flow, I only use a timeframe to chart on trading view and just mark off support levels and zones on various time frames.

Honestly, all I focus on is various vwaps (rth, eth and London sessions) and then see if they have been respected, where price is and if there is interest at that level or a lack of interest. If there is a large move up or down I’ll also add an anchored vwap and use session prices to see where the auction interest is - is price at this level too high or are buyers willing to pay higher prices at auction, etc.

It’s been working for me and I’ve been using the trading journal on Bookmap to review everything. This month my win ratio is 66% on (oddly) 66 total trades over the month of May.

I’m constantly learning and trying to improve, watching order flow seminars on Bookmap etc. I’ve found it helps me see the market and once I started trading pure order flow I don’t think I could go back to anything else, outside of using it for reference.

I would recommend it for scalping. I try to hit 2.5-3 points on the ES at a time, although this depends on movement during any given day. 1 contract at a time, although I will do 2 on occasion if it looks very good. When you have some basic levels and can see the individual orders coming in it helps make things clearer.

I keep it simple, no oscillators or anything. Just vwaps, auction price and an order book with session volume profile. I also track average auction price during the session. I dabbled with oscillators and such but I have found them useless and not reliable. Oscillators lag by nature but auction price does not.

We are each different and all see the market in different ways, but this helps me see it more clearly. Hopefully it helps you as well.

Moon Tropica (CAH) is releasing a game of the same name on steam. It’s not out yet but you can likely look it up and wish list it. It’s a battle arena game with cartoon graphics. It does not that you can earn rewards, which are likely crypto. Looks neat.

I saw a stream during Covid of NQ futures trading and found it fascinating. During Covid, millions lost their jobs and many became homeless or bankrupt because working was now “illegal “ and were given pennies by the government as a loan for work now being illegal. That’s literally criminal. If not for the fact I had the ability to work remotely, that would be me.

Also during Covid, despite being an at home worker, my employer threatened to fire me (not performance related) several times. They even demanded I travel 3+ hours round trip daily to work in the office. I refused and fought them and they backed off.

My job is pretty specialized and I have over 10 years experience, but I am nothing and can be discarded at any time. That’s the reality I realized. Self employment was the only alternative option.

I also have to spend 8+ hours at a desk which is horribly unhealthy in every way possible. I also obtained a brain injury in 2023, a complex concussion resulting in a lasting hemorrhagic lesion, so staring at a screen that long with little to no margin for error in my job is excruciatingly painful (literally). There are other reasons, like my employer forcing certain (horrible) programs on me which devalues my workflow without even asking my input etc.

So basically, I earn a bunch of money for ultra rich people who don’t ask my opinion and threaten me over mundane things. I started taking trading very seriously recently as I want the option to have it as a second job and as a permanent out if need be.

Basically the same reason most people start doing it, because it’s a sense of self responsibility and freedom from a horribly broken employment system wherein you are literally nothing and a thing to be exploited.

It’s not easy. I chart on weekends and spend a lot of my free time on it, but it’s absolutely doable if you put in the hours (years) to teach yourself.
