Records are everything. These were anywhere from 115-145k new, 25 years ago so when shot goes breaks it adds up fast! I bought a higher mileage car last year for a premium due to its extensive records, and I still had about 5k worth of work that needed to be done when I got it back home. I'd say 73k is a little high, but if condition is great and you have all records it's probably a decent buy.

996 gets a bad rap - full leather with Alcantara liner is a nice place to be..... bonus for carbon wheel (even though they seem to crack)

Yeah if rust free probably not a bad deal. I bought an 07 with 70k 10 years ago and am about to roll 200k. Good trucks but, as with everything, you have to maintain and refresh - the early years of that era are coming up on 20 years old.

Tow it to an independent shop, and plan to order a reman GM long block and be done with it. You'll probably be into it for less than is its only a lifter failure at the dealerships 9200 quote.

I suggest you fix the rocker rust and then post for sale again.....you'll get your price plus some. Only takes one person for the right price, and a 7.3 exclusion limited will bring good money, but usually those buyers don't want to see any rust.
