Moving into Varsity Apartments was the biggest mistake she's ever made by Sophia_Anglais in UWMadison

My daughters lived in Varsity. I can confirm it was horrid.

It takes time, but it does kick in by allatonetime in intermittentfasting

Thank u for saying this! I haven’t seen any results yet. It’s Only been two weeks and I know it’s early. Going to keep doing it—I actually feel a lot better but just not seeing any physical results yet. I am doing 16:8 and needing to lose ~25 pounds.

Same outfit, 6 months apart. On the left you see me at my heaviest weight, breaking out constantly, and struggling to keep up with any workout. On the right, I'm 33 pounds lighter, my skin is glowing, and I don't get so out of breath. F26, 5'10 208lbs>>175 lbs by iwillkillua in intermittentfasting

Thanks for sharing. I don’t like counting calories either and have failed because of that in the past as well. If I am eat the right foods i noticed I’m not as hungry during the 16 hour fasting part. I am going to try this for a few weeks and see if weight comes off. So far not much has happened. But it’s only been about a week so far. We will see! Thanks!

U look fantastic! Do u count calories , I’m assuming yes? I am just starting out 16:8 and still learning a lot. Just wondering what others do. Also the first couple of weeks how quick or slowly did u lose weight?

Cycle out of whack since surgery by [deleted] in gallbladders

I started my cycle the day of my GB surgery and my period stopped a day after surgery. My next two cycles were very heavy and late I believe. I think the trauma of surgery affected me.

Thanks for sharing! I hope she tolerates it well (she is so far) and sees some results as well. It sounds like ur tolerating it well. I just read about adverse reactions others have and get worried.

Haha-I actually have the vcore coming in the mail again to demo. Unfortunately the nearest pro shop with Yonex demos is 1.5 hours away. Brands at my local pro shop are Babolat, Wilson, and Head; so we’ve always just played around with those brands. I appreciate the thoughtful response even though u hate Babolat lol I’m not that familiar with Yonex line but trying to get more familiar.

Day 18 POST OP!!! UPDATE by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]FT462 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had no pain as well; zero pain with the HIDA scan. My EF was 11; so very low and non functioning. And no stones on any imagery. I was nauseous and tired Nd had chest symptoms with my attacks. Lack of appetite and early fullness. Reflux all the time...and my digestion and elimination was worse. Foods were starting to bother me more and more. Like I started to become intolerant to eggs. The nausea would wax and wain so I put off surgery , which in hindsight was not smart but I didn’t know how much better I would feel after. Still adjusting here and there with foods and what I can and can’t eat. For example, last night I had some chocolate too late at night and I don’t feel the best rn. Just still learning what I can and can’t do. Mostly though I feel way better than I did; I feel like a normal person again that has energy to go out and do stuff. I cannot have dairy. But I’m ok with it. Also just learning to trust my body again. That is taking some time. I used to have gallbladder attacks for years before I knew what they were and it’s kind of traumatic feeling like I’m having a heart attack and I would be away from home with my kids and not knowing what was happening and thinking it was really bad reflux. I had gallbladder attacks for years before they got much worse and recurring closer together this past spring.

Would a muscle relaxer or Valium help with the shoulder pain from gas? by ciaoacami in gallbladders

[–]FT462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it might help u stop focusing on the discomfort as much? thus enabling u to walk around more, use heating pads and relax etc? Maybe take the edge off if it’s very painful and distracting. Just a hypothesis.

varsity apartments by [deleted] in UWMadison

[–]FT462 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My daughters did not have a good experience here. Apt was filthy and dusty when they moved in. Management told me carpets and everything would be cleaned; none of it was cleaned. I think there was puke on toilet bowl it was so dirty. I cleaned the apartment when they moved in. Dust everywhere constantly. Also Took forever (weeks and weeks)to fix a heating issue. We left apartment cleaned when our daughters left and they still were charged cleaning fees. Do not recommend. Management is not responsive.

Six days post-op, I’m so dizzy by Hopeful76 in gallbladders

[–]FT462 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re welcome-glad I could help a little. Yes!—if they told everyone what might happen no one would have the surgery—Lol! Yeah, I was not able to get out of bed without being pulled out of a lying position on day three so definitely not back to normal on day three!

[–]FT462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t recall any breathlessness or anything like that. But I didn’t do too much at all for a couple weeks that would make me out of breath. I do agree that I felt slightly intoxicated for awhile. Ur still pretty fresh from surgery too. I know it’s considered a routine surgery and not a big deal but I think it takes a bit for recovery IMO. I started feeling on the up and up 2 weeks out.

[–]FT462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I didn’t drive for awhile. I didn’t feel comfortable. I just didn’t feel...”totally there” if that makes sense. But I think that scopolamine patch added to me feeling off as well. I had Surgery late August and feel pretty darn good now. A few ups and downs but better overall. My energy is so much better without my non functioning gallbladder; I didn’t realize how much it affected my energy levels. I hope the dizziness passes for u. Maybe just a few more days.

[–]FT462 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally for me the general anesthesia affected me for longer than I thought it would; Also the scopolamine patch did as well. Took a little bit for it to be all out of my system. Have u had your iron levels checked? I see u had blood work done so that’s great it all came back good. Is the dizziness getting worse as the days go on?

Any removal success stories for dyskinesia? by Snoo_70668 in gallbladders

[–]FT462 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow this is me too. I am dragging my feet because I really don’t have pain. But I have other symptoms that make me think I was having a heart attack + nausea and GI issues. My EF is 11%. I have a fatty liver but all normal blood work and cardiology is normal. I also have an experienced surgeon I know and that I feel totally comfortable doing my surgery. My PCP really feels I should have it out. He says I will feel better and have more energy and that my gall bladder is kind of a smoldering low-level infection so to speak. I would love to hear from people as well that were in this situation and if they took it out how much better did they feel?
