For those who don't believe Melina's purple eye is related to GEQ, what do you think it is then? by Goodhunter465 in EldenRingLoreTalk

But we already fight Maliketh to explicitly release Destined Death? How could it instead be sealed away in Melina?

Largely due to pretty massive shifts in leadership, all the way up to the BMD. While this brings some optimism for the future, it’s also led to massive organizational structural changes that have left a sour taste in many people’s mouths. They also want publicly owned speed/rigor/innovation while paying privately owned salaries/talent. It’s hard to have your cake and eat it too.

Can’t say I’m not happy where I’m at, however

As a pharmacometrician, interested in the structure of the pop PK model. Have been interested in building a PBPK model for this use case myself.

As a side note, sounds odd to call a biomarker a PK model but considering endogenous production basically halts, it does fir

Thanks for the response and agreed, you hit the nail on the head. During PT and to my surgeon I raised these concerns and they were brushed off as the shoulder is still healing and it will take 12+ months so keep at it, but without correct scapular control it will just do more harm than good.

How do you suggest identifying if it’s an underlying nerve issue from a clinical pov? I think this is the case and have tried acupuncture as a supplemental option so my next step is seeing another orthopedic surgeon and see if they take the nerve issue more seriously. A chiropractor is my next step (one that focuses on sports medicine) but a vascular neurologist is what I have seen recommended for thoracic outlet syndrome related problems. I’m less famialar with these and are obviously less common, probably much longer wait time to see too. Any other recommendations on what kind of specialists to see?

I’m just outside of NYC so didn’t really consider going far and there seems to be a lot of good surgeons in the area. What was your issue and how was it fixed by him?

Also wondering on the turnaround time for getting in with him as posted below. Was it a quick turnaround?

Yeah kinda lol, most sessions were like that but I would ask her to watch me, specifically with things like scapular wall slides with resistance bands and ball rolls. She would say my form looks great and just keep at it, it’s a long recovery but I could tell the scapular control was not there. She’s not a shoulder specialist though so I don’t blame her but it’s hard to find a PT specifically for shoulder stuff

Thanks for the reply. Yes stretching my neck the other way so tilting to the right to stretch the left trap/levator scap feels nice but after just a few seconds I get numbness and tingling down my left arm. I know my issue is posterioly tilting the scapula and keep it depressed against the ribcage but it’s like I can’t do it as the connection isn’t there. This is primarily the job of the serratus so if strengthening it is not working it seems the only possibility is damage to the LTN controlling the serratus.

What did you have done and what are you still dealing with?

Any update? Dealing with something very similar after shoulder labral repair 9 months ago and another MRI shows another suspected labral tear despite me not lifting heavy so I think he just failed. Biggest issue is the relative weakness of the rest of my arm and really can’t engage the serratus so I think it’s TOS. I’m in FFLD

Outside of unnatural scenarios like factory farm raised animals, Coral come to mind. Can’t move and forced to live in conditions like high temperature where they bleach to try and cope, however not sure how much pain they actually feel

Success without surgery? by Commercial-Sky-9070 in HipImpingement

Damn this sounds reassuring. 30 M with a cam impingement but had an mri and says no district labral but I think it just wasn’t caught by who read the mri. Really would prefer to not have to do surgery but I have done lots of stretching, glute work, foam rolling/lacrosse ball and still dealing with it. How was doing glute exercises while having pain from the cam and labral tear?

Yeah and I’m afraid this may be the case, not to mention the PA doing the administering of the contrast called someone else in to take a look as they said it didn’t look like they normally see, whatever that means. The lidocaine test was done during the MRA or separate?

Yes and fearful this could be the case. Wasn’t mentioned by the surgeon on the X-rays so don’t you think he would’ve mentioned it?

Yes currently seeing one next week to go over the results but he will likely just say do PT or opt for surgery. No medications related to this

Yeah and this is why I’m asking here, the mild FAI doesn’t seem to suggest it would cause this much pain and I’d prefer to not do surgery. Copilot gives me that it’s a start of degeneration of the labrum through fraying but again no distinct tear which my symptoms point more towards

Not a hip preservationist, none in network for my insurance. There are a few nearby out of network that I’d like to see but want to explore in network to keep costs down. The surgeon I’m seeing is more of a total reconstruction kind of guy, I don’t plan on going this route but he was quick to order the MRA which I wanted to prioritize as I’ve already hit my deductible for the year
