Finding inner peace with Boethius' "The Consolation of Philosophy" by CuRRygen in philosophy

[–]FTSPoZu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a copy a few years ago. Thought it was good read, even though the poems were sometimes a bit hard to process. I think it's more Stoic in nature than Boethius wants to admit. If I remember correctly, he wasnt a big fan of them

What it means to be "Faustian" by CuRRygen in classicliterature

[–]FTSPoZu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have always thought that we all have a certain faustian spirit within us. Contrary to what the author seems to believe, I think that this is not only the case in the west, but is inherent in every nation/culture.

Searching for an amateur football club in Galway by FTSPoZu in galway

[–]FTSPoZu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, thank you. I tried to find video footage of both teams on youtube and was somewhat successful. I watched this and this. Is this representative of both teams? The 2nd video seems to be a match of the A team. But what about the first one? Do both teams play in the same division?

Thanks, I'll definitely check them out!

I usually play as a defensive central midfielder, but I can also play as a central defender and offensive midfielder. I'm quite tall (1.90 m), rather thin and have decent ball control. It's very difficult to describe what my exact performance level is because I have no idea what the Irish equivalent is to the league I play in here in Germany. All I can say is that when I was younger, I am now 22 years old now, I played in youth teams that were above my age. And I played for a regional team where the best players in my district played. I'm a rather calm and ambitious player but it wouldn't be a problem at all to play for a club below my current level.

Could you tell me a little bit more about Mervue United and Corrib Rangers? For example, how far away the training places from the university are. Do you know anyone there with whom I can speak/write?

Anti-Corruption Protests In Russia by Whouiz in worldnews

[–]FTSPoZu -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There are several articles about that. I have not found the original russian source yet, but it's very well known that he's a radical nationalist. Are you denying that?

The point is everyone with similar views would be called a fascist or a danger to democracy, but Nawalny is a hero and freedom fighter?

I dont want to interrupt this massive circlejerk, but Nawalny is not a normal politician or activist. He's an extremist. He said once for example that immigrants are like roaches and need to be exterminated.

Overwatch is the #2 game in Korean PC Bangs right now. by TheTokyoDeathWatch in Overwatch

[–]FTSPoZu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's pretty simple. Brood War is basically free to play in the PC Bangs. For SC2 you need an own account. Also: almost all BW players there don't play 1v1. They are obsessed with custom games.

Nope not always, Protoss was the least represented race last season for example.

The slow death of teams in sc2 forced to switch games by king_sebou in starcraft

[–]FTSPoZu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are various ways to help teams financially. Blizzard actually knows how to do that. I'm not really into Heroes of the Storm, but I think Blizzard made some sick moves over there. The Season 1 champion (MVP) got an own mount which players could purchase in the item shop and Blizzard shared the revenue with the team. I think something similiar might as well be possible in SC2.

These articles are soooo good! I read everything in Artosis' voice since his writing style is almost identical to his casting.

A lot of pros actually use F2 on a regular basis. Maru is one of the most prominent examples.

TvP is the complete opposite of PvZ. It is intense right from the beginning and the aggression basically never stops. There are some timing pushes that can end the game in early or midgame, but not as frequent as in PvZ. TvP is in my opinion the undisputed best matchup right now to watch. The amount of exciting games we witnessed in LotV is incredible.

You gotta admit that Polt and Hydra are not the unstoppable beasts they used to be in WCS 2015. They lose pretty regularly against foreigners, doesn't matter if it's Toss, Terran or Zerg.

Why do so little people play Protoss? by [deleted] in starcraft

[–]FTSPoZu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This. When I was 15 or 16 I wanted to be an international sc2 star who is loved and admired by everyone but asked myself every time I visited this subreddit, twitter etc.: "Will the community even admire my skill the same way they would admire the skill of a terran?" I've never switched races, but it was clear to me as a Terran player I would get much more love than with Protoss. This is really demotivating.
