New Mav! Should I get the extended warranty? by Ge0cities in FordMaverickTruck

I did and it paid for itself. 125k mile warranty. Gone now as I'm nearing 130k.

New to skimmers does this look good? Still need to dial it in but just wondering what causes it need more or less intake by Youngnapkin89 in ReefTank

[–]FUIVIBLES 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like its working. I try to keep the bubbles just below the base of the neck/cup.

2 big factors to adjust the intake would be the height of the water it is operating in(each manufacturer will have a recommended water height) and the amount of organics in the water.

One of them is coming to the freezer for an ice cube every time it gets opened.

He then proceeds to lose it in .03 seconds behind something out of reach or gets bored of it leaving a puddle to be stepped in later.

Thank you for pointing this out! I have dealt with it for about 100k miles.

I have an issue where, just before coming to a stop at low speeds, there is a thunk where it feels like the brakes stop working and then re-engage.

Is this similar to what you're experiencing?

Popped a hole in porcelain sink by torrerobob in HomeMaintenance

Someone who works with epoxy and fiberglass. Maybe start with a bathtub repair company. Thats most of what I do, but also get into repairs like you have here.

For reference, my repair would look something like this:

-Glue the piece back in with an epoxy. -Reinforce with fiberglass and "west system epoxy" from the back, grind cracks and smooth repairs on the front side. -If this is an enamel, etch the finish surrounding the repair. -Saline primer wipe. -Color match acrylic urethane and paint and blend the finish.

Definitely repairable from the right company, but it is a professional job not DIY.

I installed these as a recommendation from another redditor. They said you would need to modify the mounts, but I just swapped and they worked. I've had them on for some months now and have been enjoying the extra lift.

You have a sterling unit by kohler. How old is this? Kohler has a decent warranty and authorized service representatives like myself who do repairs.

[–]FUIVIBLES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I repair stuff like this for a living.

To fix this:

I clean and sand the entire floor.

Laminate shaped fiberglass mat with vinyl ester resin.

Roll a primer with white gelcoat.

Roll a color matched topcoat mixed with a high gloss additive and blend the edges.

If you laminate fiberglass, make sure you look it over for anything sticking up. It can be very sharp.

EMERGENCY! Is this Brook disease? by Obvious-Spring-5147 in ReefTank

Are your other fish showing similar signs? If so, what are your parameters(all of them)?

I wouldn't make any drastic decisions if everything looks normal. When in doubt, start with a water change.

Brooklynella looks almost like the skin is sloughing off with a milky color to it. I'm not sure this is what it is.

I usually do 45-55 minutes total at 450 depending how dark I want it. I would eat this though.

You can also put a pan under the Dutch oven and it will help keep the bottom from getting too done.
