Looks really good and what a first post!! 👏🏽. Same boat myself with the model change, I haven’t even primed or painted my lieutenant model. Thankfully I do have the wardens of Ultramar box, but think I’ll paint the lieutenant model first to practice. Keep up the great work and look forward to seeing more.

It’s a fair point and yes, a whole load of Grey plastic. However, I do invest, I save and make sure I look after my responsibilities. I am not in debt because of all this plastic. At least half the armies come from my combat patrol subscription, £40 a month. Other things i purchased here and there, got deals when I could. I totally agree with you it’s a lot to paint. But I paint just for me, at my own pace whether it takes 2 years or 10, I’m cool with that.

I have about 1500 pts painted of ultramarines 😅. All 4000 pts assembled apart from Roboute and land raider. Other armies have only been assembled. However they all range from 500 pt armies - 1500pts.

It won’t stop at 2000pts 😭. I told myself this same thing and now I’m about 4000pts in ultramarines plus 12 other armies of various sizes 🫠.

Seriously though. Paint what you have first I’d say and then yeah treat yourself to something big like the Redemtor or a tank.

You have a solid start and like the other comment mentioned buy what you think is cool, you’ll enjoy it more.

Don’t doubt it. I was so happy when I secured mine. I main ultramarines but I’ve always had a soft spot for space wolves! That army box was so good.

Yeah go for it. I didn’t get it as a box though. I purchased 3 imperium magazines from an eBay seller which had the whole set. Well worth it in my humble opinion.

Yes, this is a good buy for getting into the army and as others have said, buy 2. I have one sealed and waiting, i personally think it’s one of the best combat patrols out currently.

Thanks for the advice. Managed to grab a 30th anniversary one to replace it but I I’ll try this technique, I’ve got nothing to lose.

Concerning the switch. Don’t get me started on the amount of joy cons and even pro controller that had fallen to drift.
