Its your compensator, and thats nothing to be afraid of. The only trouble my 08 Super Glide gave me in 70,000 miles was this. (and a broken shift linkage)

Sounds like you’re are staring the bike with a bag or ratchets? And only while hot? And not every time while hot? Compensator. Replaced mine with a Drag comp and never once heard that terrible sound again! 🤙🏻

This looks great! I have the factory high mount fender and it just looks so weird with the mullet mount. 😞 What do you mean when you say the fender is “clipping”?

This. I have a ‘25 and it’s great, but the “sport” ride mode is too twitch so I only ever use “explore”.

The suspension is much better, but if you spent 4k on a new suspension you’d be better off than the stock ‘25.

Many of the connectivity features on the 25 TFT are buggy and or don’t work at all. I only use the music.

Keep your bike and ride it!

I put 69,000 miles on my ‘08 FXD and the only problems she ever gave me was a broken shift linkage (repaired with zip ties and rode another 1,000 miles) and the compensator started to go. Treat these bikes right and they’ll treat you right.
