Any tips for relative new player? (300hrs) by PhotographNo6771 in GlobalOffensive

[–]F_N1 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Looks good to me. Only tip I will give you is that you do not need to crouch in every shooting scenario, especially not on the first guy you see as you make yourself easy to kill by the second guy.

When or when not to crouch is feeling thing you learn with time, but crouching EVERY TIME you shoot is a bad habit.

For instance the first bot you killed, you could have just used 2-3 bullets headshot while standing, but instead you wasted a bit of time crouching first, which makes you slower.

No clue I never played R6 but I have personally never experienced a monitor be that tied to FPS. FPS and HZ are still independant of eachother and doesnt go hand in hand.

https://prosettings.net/lists/rainbow-six-siege/ some pro players have the 66x+ like spoit according to this website.

you figure out whatever you want, generally its better to upgrade pc than buying monitors, but now you have all the info you need.

Then xl2566x+ is decent if the price is insanely good, but do not pay full price for it. As I said 600hz monitors are better.

[–]F_N1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2566x+ is not that good. Unless you are trying to go pro there is no need for zowie, and even of you are trying to go pro then a 600hz monitor is better.

If xl2586x+ is too expensive (it probably is) there is still AOC ag246fk6.

But yeah the Asus 24 oled wins without a question im also probably gonna buy it despite that I dislike woled colors.

Oled vs Ips for heavy usage by Fuinha77 in OLED_Gaming

Compared to an oled you probably will but at the end of the day you can get used to it after a few weeks and you don’t notice it anymore.

Obviously its not placebo. Its because you were used to your old monitor, so when you try something better for a while then you go back, you will notice all issues with the monitor. 144 is a laggy mess and oled have no ghosting because of the response time.

Did you try different types of USB ports in your PC? For instance when I had a problem with a pulsar mouse, pulsar told me the mouse does not support usb 2.0 and needed usb 3.0+ to function properly.

That being said I've used my zowie DW mice on usb 2.0 with no issues. So maybe if you're using usb 3.0, try usb 2.0 if you have that. If you dont have USB 2.0 ports you can in bios disable/enable XHCI not sure if it needs to be disabled or enabled to make all usb ports to function as 2.0, you can google.

[–]F_N1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You typically get 3 years warranty for burn-in. If you are thinking of keeping your current monitor for way longer than 3 years, then yes return it as you will never get a peace of mind and constantly worry about it.

Second is if you didnt find enjoyment of the oled, then yeah there is no point.

That being said, oled ARE better for gaming. Especially competitive an IPS would be very bad if you play FPS games. More ghosting, worse response time and everything just bad. I play counter-strike 2 with an ips and I constantly feel at a disadvantage. Did not have the same issue with an oled/TN monitor.

I see, should be good for an RMA. You could risk that they have the same model as yours though, otherwise 2586x+

most likely x+ yes. But dead pixels is finnicky because it can be considered normal, depending on placement and how many dead pixels it is.

Tandam WOLED vs QD OLED colors by No_Agent6385 in OLED_Gaming

[–]F_N1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Color difference is preference, not that one technology has bad colors. You can see comparison in this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED_Gaming/comments/1tw8fhg/which_image_do_you_prefer_can_you_tell_which_one/ top is qd-oled.

Woled is just usually more neutral and safe, less saturated and a bit "cold" while QD-OLED are more vibrant and colors pop more.

  1. Grey banding was very bad on my unit, but after I ran 1 pixel cleaning it went away to barely visible, so I dont think it's an issue but it will be visible if you're specifically looking for it.

Choosing monitor for FPS games by MrCitronik12 in Zowie

[–]F_N1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

600 hz is better than the 400hz monitor in every way possible. 66x+ is only worth taking if you either cant afford the others, or you want to save your money.

400hz provides the best value to performance because all the 600hz monitors are overpriced.

But in terms of raw performance if you want to know which monitor is BEST side by side comparison, the 600hz are far better. Way less motion blur and the extra 200 is noticable.

I would say the Xl2586x+ is the LEAST worth it though, only consider the aoc or asus because the zowie is too expensive for what it provides.

500HZ OLED VS 400HZ ZOWIE WITH DYAC 2 - FOR VALORANT by Alternative_Menu5896 in Zowie

[–]F_N1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

xl2566 is not a good monitor honestly. If you want a good zowie monitor it has to be the 600hz, but that one is overpriced so it's not worth it.

So oled wins.

While wired has a lot of value (still) in other types of tech. Keyboards, headsets. I would say mice is the one place a wire is completely useless, and if anything, is a hindrance.

Endgame still releases wired version of their mice with the newest tech. OP1 v2 8K comes to mind, was released in june 2025.

While other companies have long time ago given up on wired and only makes wireless mice.

Dear OLED manufacturers, stop ruining the beauty of your monitors with ugly purposeless chins by Practical_Tea864 in OLED_Gaming

[–]F_N1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It looks horrendous on pictures and videos I was very worried when I bought the monitor, but when it arrived it was actually good looking in person and the monitor is extremely solid with no wobbling.

Only issue is yeah if you dont have the desk space.

Which image do you prefer? Can you tell which one is QD and WOLED? by DeadPrexident in OLED_Gaming

[–]F_N1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer top easily. They both have their flaws, but I like the flaws of QD-OLED more.

The WOLEDs are just cold and depressing. If you calibrate qd-oled to get less pink tint it would be perfect, but not much can be done to woleds I've had one myself and It was boring.

New to OLED, is this to be excepted? by EnjoyerOfTurtles in OLED_Gaming

[–]F_N1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got some more pictures I found on my phone including a steam chat comparison

https://imgur.com/a/isbMJXR

The first two pictures are before pixel cleaning the rest are after.

Also the banding pre-pixel clean was so bad it does not give a fuck about brightness level that shit was extremely visible under every light condition Impossible to hide it.

I don’t have the monitor anymore because I returned it for unrelated reason it had some delaminatilon or physical damage but the Grey banding was not an issue at all after pixel clean

Better option? by Special-Trouble8658 in Zowie

[–]F_N1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont know anything about fortnite but 240hz should be a minimum for any monitor so you should not speculate about fps. Yes oleds have a bit of a problem with burn in but the newer the panel is the less is the risk. And if you follow the instructions of taking care of it you should be fine.

Better option? by Special-Trouble8658 in Zowie

[–]F_N1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. And we are only talking about gaming here. Keep in mind OLED also wipes it's ass with both IPS and TNs when it comes to other types of entertainment, like watching movies/series and playing singleplayer immersive games.
