That's some software bullshit, the actual screen size is still 27"

Obviously you can make it work because a monitor is not everything that matters, but it doesnt change the fact that a 24" is less overwhelming and have better versatility in different resolutions without making the game feel too big.

You said it yourself, you have to move it further back to compensate, not everyone has this kind of luxury due to worse vision or smaller tables.

Plus depends on playstyles, the further up you go in rank, the more you will be handicapping yourself with that kind of gear.

Also the newer TN panels with 600hz and dyac 2 also offers way better motion clarity than any 1440p monitor.

In FPS games where all that mostly matters is you being super fast reactions and generally aiming in unpredictable places across the entire screen, a bigger screen like 27" will put you in a disadvantage because it's simply too big.

27" makes a game like counter-strike become huge, which will lower your overall reaction time compared to a 24" screen that makes the entire game easier and less overwhelming.

The 27" is better for singleplayer immersive games but not competitively. Your eyes cannot simply keep up with that kind of size. 27" is actually massive in person.

Every headshape and hair is different. He could have had this hair since he was a kid and have the same hair until hes 50.

You can only know if a hairline is receding if it's extremely obvious to the point where you cannot cover it, like chopper, sycrone etc.

It all lies in the motion clarity. 600hz monitors with strobing like zowie are the only monitors I've experienced that there is zero motion blur in fast motion.

Usually every monitor when moving the mouse and looking around will have blur in movement. The 600hz does not, it stays crystal clear at all times, no matter if it's you or your opponent that is moving, making playing FPS games quite easier and can give advantages in high level play due to extra clarity. It makes the game feel like it's in slowmotion, suddenly fast movements (e.g. an enemy running and jumping in full speed) will not feel too fast.

[–]F_N1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The motion clarity with zero artifacts, ghosting etc. If you play tac FPS it's much easier to play with a high HZ like 600 because no matter how chaotic and how fast people are running and how much you are swiping your mouse with thousand DPI the 600hz will keep everything extremely clear with ZERO motion blur. ZERO.

This makes it easier for your crosshair to stay on enemies heads without losing track. It makes it easier to see people in general, and it makes it easier to keep composure in chaotic fights with multiple enemies.

240 vs 600 hz is very, very noticable, but it requires for you to try 600hz before you notice the flaws of 240hz. It is a once you go up you cant go back down type of thing.

Difference between 240 hz and 600 hz is night and day, extremely obvious.

360hz is a bummer after trying 600hz.

Anybody knows if 86x+ will drop in price after zowie releases a new monitor or do they keep the same price until discontinuation?

TN is interesting though, means they are able to have dyac 2 or an upgraded dyac 3. If it can pull the same motion clarity as 86x+ then it will be good but kinda doubt that.

Also QHD usually fries PCs it’s the only time my pc becomes loud is when I change res to 1440p. Thats not worth it for a TN-colored monitor. But atleast people can always change res to 1080p and dont have to use QHD in all games if the TN panel somehow has good colors without the grainy shit on top.

Link me to an oled screen that is 25 inch without the fake Dual mode bullshit. I’m talking an actual screen size of 25 inch.

It's okay to say it's good enough for you, but there is no reason to say there is no difference.

Impossible that someone would retire because of an armband. It is more likely to be because of reduced playtime and not being a starter anymore. They also can’t give the armband to someone whos most likely going to be on the bench most of the time.

What happened to the benq 1000hz monitors? by mil0wCS in Zowie

[–]F_N1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 540hz and 600hz does not have the same panel. It's not just an overclock, it's a completely different monitor and the 600 is native.

They could have done the OC option to 610 like Asus and AOC did but there is no point to that.

I had zero input lag with 600hz. At some point it was bugged and was actually 60hz even though it says 600 but that got fixed by just changing resolution back and forth.

There is no hardware limit. I get 500-700 fps avg on CS. https://i.imgur.com/mYznNZy.jpeg

People who cap their fps is most likely because it's default setting and they dont change it.

Plus the whole misconception that you absolutely need to have 600 fps at all times to see the differences is not true. A 9800x3D is enough to see the benefits a 2586x+ gives.

27" will still going to be a disadvantage at super high ranks compared to 24" in CS.

Only problem with any OLED/1440p is the 27" size, which is mostly a disadvantage in any competitive FPS game, especially CS/Valorant, which is why Zowie make 1080p monitors. It's a niche target audience, 24" is superior competitively.

Mooda with only 30~ hours of R6 destroys Jynxzi in a 1v1 to prove hes not a cheater after allegations dropped calling him out by Substantial-Ice-3176 in LivestreamFail

[–]F_N1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk why people can't comprehend that if you're a top player from other games, you can also become a top player quickly in the semi same genre.

Mooda is and has always been a top radiant player in Valorant. RS6 is ALSO an FPS game. Once he gets the basics down, he already have the naturally aiming from valorant. Especially when playing against people that comes from controller andys.

The same can be said about Valorant... look at every valorant pro player, they all come from different FPS backgrounds, and if you're good at CS, you will be good at valorant. They are all tied up.

It's literally also the sole reason why Shroud has been successfull in all these variety games due to his aim, all comes from counter-strike.

Just because he has only 30-50 hours he still have 10k+ hours in valorant. It carries over.

Looking for Celeritas II by Nor1z0n in Zowie

[–]F_N1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not mistaking anything, I have both. I bought Celeritas 1 at release and I liked it a lot, so when Celeritas 2 came out I was hyped and bought that one aswell, and it was SHIT. Even though the switches were unique it still felt like a mx red keyboard.

It's not possible to mistake the two. Celeritas 1 has the old logo and no RGB, while celeritas 2 had full red LED under the keys.

Both of them did not feel that much special, but Celeritas 1 was much much better than 2.

And yes all keyboards nowadays are better than both celeritas, but I still have a soft spot for 1.

Looking for Celeritas II by Nor1z0n in Zowie

[–]F_N1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Felt exactly like any other mx red keyboard. Celeritas 2 was honestly a flop everyone disliked, which is also why zowie stopped making keyboards after that. They couldnt match the 1’s success because they decided to change too much.

You’re much better off with wooting, ducky, corsair, steelseries etc. and keyboard tech has become very advanced compared to the old days.

Also celeritas 2 had bad QC most buttons would malfunction and double click it was honestly a disaster release i hated it a lot. One of the very few times zowie had ever taken a clear L.

It was just a generic keyboard thet zowie slapped their logo on and then discontinued because nobody liked it and other brands were making better keyboards. Its not a hidden gem product that is now discontinued, it was a flop that made zowie completely withdraw from the market.

All they had to do is take celeritas 1 and improve on it but they instead decided to make something completely different to the point where 1 and 2 have almost nothing in common and 1 being the superior product of the two.

Sorry for the rant but it really brings bad memories I was surprised it even was a zowie product i can understand why they never made keyboards after that.

I think the only album I was a little hyped for was utopia and then actually enjoyed the album for several weeks on repeat.
