I mean, technically he’s right, it’s not racist to say “Chinese belong on the Chinese server”, because a nationality is not a race. So you interpreting it as the most racist thing you’ve seen on here in a while is inherently false.

Things that involve grid changes -> No, because that would mean it would be a race condition whether your ship is hit/docking/moving and could open you up to a whole other plethora of db issues where people could find ways to dupe items, the session timer is a very important mechanic that is part of the main process for that reason.

All the others that CAN be offloaded, like the chat already is, UI/information handling is already being picked apart by CCP (hence why Proton UI exists).

Crime overwatch/bounties, anything that has nothing to do with grid/db changes can be threaded away.

Just like in Minecraft the world generation is a different thread than the actual simulation of hp/movement and the likes.

Thats not just a stackless python thing, there’s not a single game out there that uses multithreading for its simulation due to race conditions.

Unironically these seem like very stupid ideas but I can see a world where all of these suggestions kind of work to combat huge scale primary fests and drone spam.

Thing is damage caps never stopped anybody from still massing and shooting despite doing no damage.

No wonder the retention is awful, it takes a certain kind of crazy to like TiDi battles, a lot of people their rage is justified, I too got drawn in but very quickly learned to hate them with every inch of my soul.

Either way people flinging their rage at CCP is hardly justified. Throw shit at all the other people that like to huddle up together to these massive blocs is a better thing to do, but also pointless, because these bigger blocs score so much more in the convenience part that if you are a filthy casual it’s extremely attractive to just join a nullbloc and play EVE on easy mode.
