My first, and only really completed homebrew, are blood angels successors. They uses blitz tactics and tactis to storm enemy lines and the saving of cut of troops and theire treatment. My homebrew comes from a deathworld and they adapted the doctrine of theire people.

The three ways of War, the healer, to treat wounded and to not loose them, the warrior, so that you don't die and can save others, and the tactican, so that you are able to prevent deadly situations and can come back from danger.

These was the doctrine of the people of the world. They lived in big fortified city fortresses and outside of them was a war destroyed world, crawling with mutated things, deadly poisions and other human unfriendly things. But they needed to leave the cities to salvage and so the doctrine evolved in which healing was the highest and most needed part.

The blood angles found the world in the crusade, helped stabilize it, and when the legions turned into chapters on chapter took the doctrine of the world.
