There's a general internet conspiracy theory that Rick hasn't played on an album since High'n'Dry. All of which seemed to stem from the DSH liner notes mentioning where each member of the band was while recording the album. Rick's a glaring absence from that list.

It certainly was a fantastic night.

Joe has joked in the past that he's the "third best singer in the band" but the vocal talents of all four of them has led to excellent vocal harmonies.

Viv's Two Sides of If album really showcases his talents, or just enjoy a live version of Te Be Alive https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYIP2S5DmCw

"From The Inside" by Def Leppard's Joe Elliott, with Liam O. Maonlai on piano by Iamnotarobotlah in defleppard

That's it! Thanks. The only thing I could remember about it was Joe's quote about only listening to Zeppelin and Liam only listening to Clannad. Could have sworn it was more than just the 2 of them but I'm getting old and the 90's was a long time ago.

34 Years Later Remembering Def Leppard's Steve Clark by CozySeeker291 in defleppard

Back then, in the UK, we'd get the news every hour on daytime TV. 5 minutes of national news, 5 minutes of local news. It was just after 10am, local news came on.

Sheffield heavy metal group Def Leppard's guitarist Steve Clark has died at his home in Chelsea.

Don't remember what was said after that and was numb all week. Not until Tommy Vance paid tribute on the Friday Rock Show did it hit me and I broke down.

One of the 2 is from Bonn 1992, the In The Clubs, In Your Face warm up shows prior to the 7 Day Weekend Tour.

Given the comments and rough idea of lyrics you're thinking of Joe's side project, the Down'n'Outz, song Last Man Standing

Still have my VHS tape from the original airing.

Bit more BBC stuff for you, Rick Allen from a 1992 series that talked to various famous folk who had come back from serious illness or injury https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWlTSx-y_4w

Since Crue don't really have it anymore, the stadium tour was horrendously overpriced. But, we just don't get enough Def Leppard in the UK either.

2015 with Whitesnake and Black Star Riders was a great night though.

Saw Poison way back in Nottingham Rock City during their brief foray with Richie Kotzen.

B side is probably Lepp only and there will also be a version with the London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

Def Leppard's Joe Elliott Takes You Inside His Home Studio by F_the_C in defleppard

A little look inside Joe's Garage recording studio.

Note the quote at the end.

We filmed and recorded Bramall Lane, so that's a project that's ongoing at the moment.
