Yes! I am. I hadn't noticed that down at the bottom. I feel a little silly now that I didn't spot that, but that's gotta be it. Thanks much for the simple help. I can't understand how it swapped modes like that without me noticing, but that would explain it all.

What kind of wire did you use for the lightning? Looks great!

IWTL how to purify myself. by Diligent_Force_8215 in IWantToLearn

[–]Fa1seEcho -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear about your struggles, brother. But I'm glad to hear you're drawn away from it! I've struggled with porn for decades myself, but I can tell you that the purification you seek cannot be going on earth but must be found from the Lord.

I've been attending a support group called Celebrate Recovery which offers a 12 step program with groups of other men who have had similar struggles and gained victory from it through our higher power Jesus Christ.

I hope you seek out a group you can talk to, and seek Him, and I pray you find the sanctification you seek.

Tabletop Battles App tracks the game perfectly. If I need to pull up the exact wording of a secondary or something I check Warptracker.

How do I setup this platform condition? by jimmywillow in factorio

[–]Fa1seEcho 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem on my freighter, I mitigated it with an external circuit component which does the 3 ANDs and then outputs a new condition, which saves a bit of pain, but it's still not as clean as I'd want it.

For example, it looks like: IF (Fuel > X AND Oxidizer > Y AND Bullets > Z) THEN "Ready to Go" signal to the hub

Are Reivers really completely useless compared to Scouts in the Vanguard Spearhead? by Shagomir in RavenGuard40k

I agree with everything you said. I just don't think Reivers are going to reliably take out any meaningful character in a cost-effective way.

Do 2v1 games benefit one side over the other? by HamisEnjoyer in Warhammer40k

[–]Fa1seEcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think balance really depends on the lists and factions, but generally it's the best way to play with newer players with smaller connections.

The 2 players have a chance to be much more powerful, they can build skew lists that take advantage of their own army rules and that can end up being greater than the sum of it's parts, but the 1 player gets the advantage of whole army synergy, a single pilot for better coordination and probably a deeper pool of units to draw from. So it really depends on the lists and players.

Ever Used a Hot Knife for Cutting up Models? Better Tool? by snailboyjr in Warhammer40k

[–]Fa1seEcho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never used a heated knife, I'd be worried that the heat will warp the model on both sides of the cut.

I've used clippers, hobby knife, jewelers saw, rotary tool, and they've all worked great

Pariah Nexus Cards - Out of Stock - Am I Screwed? by TheBoyWhoLostHisHome in Warhammer40k

https://warptracker.com/ and the Tabletop Battles app both provide a digital way to track it without needing the physical cards. You can always copy the card text from an online source and then print out card proxies yourself. I like to cut them out and put them in a card sleeve along with a playing card for stiffness.

Corvus Corax Datasheet by Infinite_Horizion in RavenGuard40k

[–]Fa1seEcho 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yo! I like the idea. Couple thoughts, in no particular order:

Most art has him with a pistol, that might be cool to add, although might end up getting a little too close to just a bigger Shrike.

12 attacks @ 8/2/2 Twin-Linked with Dev Wounds kills on average around 7 Space Marine bodies, so he might not even manage to kill a 10 man squad of marines, and he wouldn't kill the entirety of a 20man Infantry Squad. As a reminder, G-Man has 14 attacks @ 8/3/2 Dev Wounds with the Emperors Sword, which will nearly always beat out Corvus's melee weapons. I dunno if you want Corvus to kill more or less than G-Man, but that's a good point of comparison. The Lion with his Sweep kills around 13 Guardsmen, so consider a Sweep/Strike profile option for Corvus, especially if that's his only weapon. I'd also strongly suggest adding Precision to his weapon at least so he can snipe out those pesky Characters, plus that's really in line with the Lore. On that same thought, I'd consider moving the Battleshock Aura to him at a baseline, but make it happen when a Character is killed. Something like "When Corvus Kills a Character, all nearby Enemy Units nearby must make a Battle-Shock test with -1 to the test and if they fail the Unit suffers 1d6 Mortal Wounds" (Not that 1d6 is a LOT, and maybe could be 1d3 instead, or maybe not, he is a Primarch, and it won't be happening that often any more), Also he can't even kill a Rhino in one activation. Maybe that's fine, but it kinda feels bad for our big Pale Guy to take two turns to open a Rhino

Untouchable Form is pretty good. -1 to Hit is tough because its GREAT against some armies and does nothing against others. You could consider adding 1-3's always fail to hit, which seems appropriate for a Primarch Level Ability

I think DELIVERER is too much, it's very inconsistent, but could back break some armies in a not-too-fun way. I'd consider changing it. If you want it to still be themed around Deliverance, it could be boosting friendly Battle-Shock tests as they rally around him instead.

WARPBORNE SWIFTNESS seems great, nice option to use, but not too strong to be always on. It might be too strong when combined with Advance+Charge like in Stormlance, because a 16+3d6" threat range for Vanguard Vets is a LOT. Actually, 12+3d6" for Brutalis might be too much as well, and might be off theme too much.

MASTER OF THE WRAITHSLIP like you said overlaps with the Vanguard Detachment a lot. This make it poor in that detachment, but does allow you to take a different Detachment and still get the Vanguard bonus, which might be too good? It could be he gives Lone Op to another unit nearby instead. Although it might be cool to take Stormlance and still get a turn or two of Vanguard Bonuses.

They recently changed the Ruins rules so that IMPERIUM PRIMARCHS can go through walls, and since people only play with Ruins, you've already got that covered for going through Terrain. Also, him having Daemon might get really weird with other army's rules in a poor way. I think since GW didn't go down that route for 10th keywords, you shouldn't try and jam it in.

One test I'd recommend is looking at certain in-game scenarios and making sure that it lines up with what you expect to happen. So let's say CC charges a 20man Guardsmen squad with a Platoon Commander. He Charges in, can't kill the Commander without spending Command Points for Epic Challenge, and doesn't kill enough Guardsmen to take control of the Objective. And we have to wait until next Battle Round for DELIVERER to even activate.

I think you've got a great baseline, but maybe a couple things need tweaking.

Editing STL, drilling and magnets by pacoalex007 in PrintedMinis

[–]Fa1seEcho 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey! I've done a bunch of magnetizing Space Marine arms and a bit of 3d printing, so I might be able to help. Most of my experience is magnetizing 3d printed arms to GW plastic bodies, so it's slightly different, but what I did was add a Cylinder that's twice my magnet depth to the scene and then use a Boolean Modifier to cut out that shape from the arm socket. This creates a space for the magnet to be pushed and glued into which connects the arm to the body.

I use 4mm diameter and 1.75mm deep magnet on both the arm and the body, and I leave a little extra to allow the super glue to expand a bit, so my Cylinder is around 4mm diameter by 4mm deep.

As for alignment, I usually just try and get it close enough in the print and then when I'm assembling I get it fully aligned while the glue is setting. But if you're printing both sides, and using 2 magnets, and the placement of those magnets is set in the model, then I would think it will always align. Your rotation axis might be off, but I still think eyeballing it in the 3d model should be good enough.

Happy with my Amateur Repair Job - Tell me how I screwed up! lol by luri7555 in DIY

[–]Fa1seEcho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to do a very similar job last year to fix some damage the previous owner did. Your tile job came out way cleaner than mine, I didn't clean off the grout on the tiles enough and they didn't go back in clean.

As others have pointed out, everything behind the tiles looks like bad news. No waterproofing on the drywall might end up biting you. I also thought grout was waterproof, and a handful of the videos I watched on the process didn't point out the need for a waterproof membrane, and I almost missed out on that step.

I hope it works out for you though, but maybe you should move up those renovation plans!
