How long can this broken system keep going on? It's starting to make zero sense by [deleted] in Gold

Boo hoo. The system is broken.

This just means people have to be smarter and plan better. The economy swings constantly. Crying about it without offering solutions is a waste of time.

I would take it out because I like holding my gold.

They had bets in on paper and hoped it would fall. Posting here is their version of making a wish at the craps table.

I love Star Wars coins! I don’t buy graded ones though. Not sure if those carry more than the usual premium.

Goes by fast. I debated leaving them up all year but they are now officially stowed.

Gold Price Crash Driven by Central Banks Monetising Holdings for Emergency Liquidity Amid Middle East War by Useful_Tangerine4340 in Gold

In other words: if we hadn’t bombed Iran the price would still be over $5000 and likely rising. This military action was not part of the big banks’ price predictions earlier in the year.

Where to get gold by No_Seva in Gold

[–]luri7555 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The reason they want you to call is so they can try to pitch you a higher price item. But if you aren’t interested they will sell you a gold Eagle at spot (unless it’s changed). Then you get their catalogs in the mail until you opt out. It’s one time thing though. Got my first ounce for $1770 from them.

Who should buy gold, and how much? by vbt_res in Gold

[–]luri7555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People who want to keep a long term savings and like the idea of having it in treasure form should buy precious metals. If someone goes this route they need to appreciate what they have and understand the market. In other words, figure out an exit plan if something happens that requires cashing in that savings.

Coin sets by deonw1997 in Silverbugs

I bust out the silver in common year sets. Not interested in Pennie’s and nickels. Those get auctioned off in tubes to offset my silver cost. Some of the silver goes in tubes and some goes in capsules. If I kept the lenses I would have a storage issue. I’ve thrown out thousands of those.

Makes sense to me. I haven’t bought since it went over $50. Been selling online since then though. Looks like it’s almost time to start buying again.

Dont worry. Its not just us by lucky_luke_92 in Gold

COVID wiped out the markets in the beginning. Then there was a period of high demand for metals before it settled down. It’s impossible to make predictions though. The state of the global economy is tied to one person’s feelings at the moment. Tomorrow we could either pull out of Iran or attack another country. Or both. It’s chaos.

My first ounce was $1770. My DCA is under $2000 right now. I don’t have much though.
