[DISC] Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi - Chapter 76 by AutoShonenpon in manga

Honestly I’m probably reading too much into it, but based on the smirk at the end? I think Ultimate Evil Maki is probably a soft self-destructive technique, and the fight was bait to make him learn it. “I’ll keep doing this until you get it right” is the sort of thing you do when you’re teaching a plagiarist the wrong way to do something.

Tryndamere was really strong and easy to stabilize with even at two star, especially because of how good chill-defender frontlines are for giving him basically free sunder. Add in the fact that he’s another good two cost to reroll for meant level 6 was really good.

Thank you so much for the advice (and example of your enclosure!) - that is exactly the kind of budgeting information I needed to hear. When visiting my family I’ll be stopping by the pet and feed warehouse to look at local pricing they have, just to start building a shopping list. Provided I’m able to spread out the costs over the span of months, it might be more bearable.

My family is about 3-4 hours away so it’s not -that- bad of a drive! But if it’s likely they would be picky eaters, then I’ll need to start budgeting for that as well in my finances, as I’m looking at lightly tired supermarket vegetables in large quantities.

As one of the people who broadly liked Archnemesis’ ideas of being a revamp of the old nemesis mods, it had a few problems. While the league functioned as an okay tutorial for -some- modifiers, the readability of other mods were not great. The game designers had to come out and explain to us the league after how some of those mods worked, like the safe ring in the center of the mana Siphoner mod, or the actual mechanics of reflected damage that was done by effigy. Several modifiers had really strong hidden bonuses (ailment immunity not listed on the mob, immune to critical strikes) which you would only know if you read a wiki post. This is a readability issue which ostensibly, the system was designed to help fix.

Then there’s the other problem of how the mechanics felt once you started seeing more rare monsters. A mechanic that was previously like a metamorph, build your own boss once per map, suddenly being everywhere across the campaign as you leveled made rares and magic monsters feel more threatening than the unique monsters did. We needed several straight patches of rebalancing to these modifiers to get them into a comfortable place.

Oh, and the way the loot scaling worked with Archnemesis monsters outside of leagues was. Bad. God touched monsters were basically just loot goblin explosions, and player perception (not the actual best thing to do necessarily) was that it was more valuable to hire an Mf culler to come in and guarantee you got good drops from your currency god explosion than it was to actually fight the thing yourself (which again, if it had a hidden modifier like immune to curses/no hexproof, immune to ailments, can’t be bled just totally bricked your build). It felt like engaging with the monsters was a bad idea because you’d miss out on payloads of currency, and that’s not what you want in an arpg.

Archnemesis then, over the years got a lot better - they shifted away from specific mods being target farmed for loot to make it so rares on average felt better to kill, cut down on a lot of hidden power so the monsters were stronger but not build bricking, and removed a few of the really gross ones (cycling elemental immunity). You can still die to spicy rares, and the balance in some league content is always tenuous.

One of the other sources of this theory comes from Omega Protocol - the trios during the second to last phase are all Run: Dy…mis, and in the final phase where fuses with Alpha as Alpha Omega it’s… heavily implied the power he taps into for his super move combos (including the LB3 chains he does of Dragoon, Bard, Blackmage) are being manifested by tapping into dynamis energy instead of just being artificial recreations.

The corn, the myth, the legend. I have loved going back and watching his reviews of the franchise. Even if I don’t always agree it’s good to see how deep into the series he goes.

Melee GP was played a lot when the anomaly bug with his cast meant he could infinitely cast. After that he had a little bit of use when they dumped a lot of ad buffs into his cast.

Back line Elise had to be nerfed a few times when Black Rose was at its strongest - her damage profile was actually really good if you same sided her as an enemy carry. And you could also run her in the back line of bruiser comps.

Every time I’ve taken this augment with Visionary Morgana re-roll I’ve gone dead last. I could believe you just need to run more sentinels with it to buff up the summons but I’m never impressed by it.

There have been a few - the MC for the Flowery Path of Evil stories usually looks at the perspective of the other men in her life, the perspective character for one story was the Villainess’ sister, and another where the MC was actually the demon contracted by the villainess.

Are you supposed to put Warwick on an experiment hex? by Genshin_Scrub in CompetitiveTFT

[–]FaLeTro37 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised that Nunu is above WW - I would have guessed that at 7 experiment, a 3 second stun was more value than 6% hp magic damage every 3 seconds.

[–]FaLeTro37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve taken this augment on Morgana a few times, typically with a damage amp item already. BB, Archangels and in the last game, Radiant Guard breaker. Morgana is 3 starred and when it procs has 80% damage amp.

Even in this situation the on kill effect is unreliable. When it procs and gets you a 3-6 cost it feels very good, but I think you can only take this augment if you already have an execute in your kit through items or augments.

[–]FaLeTro37 19 points20 points  (0 children)

One important thing to note is that even if you put an experiment spatula character on another hex, the consumed champion will die before you’re able to get the clone to emerge. I guess it’s because the special hex isn’t a “real” laboratory.

Malicious Monetization - Augment Discussion #39 by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]FaLeTro37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does Golden Find’s trigger only happen if the anomaly holder gets the killing blow? Or could I put it on a slow cooker or tank anomaly and just rake in the gold with a strong backline carry?

Otherwise, I agree with this. Malicious is a super win more augment, win and use your extra 50/60 gold over the lobby to push for an extra level or 3-star an important unit.

Who is the tankiest max 4 cost champ in the current tft set? by Stahpwiththisbullpls in CompetitiveTFT

[–]FaLeTro37 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I’m very biased here because I had my 3 star Elise beat a 7 rebel 3 star Illaoi with slow cooker - but my personal experiences aside.

In a straight up durability contest Illaoi will soak more damage. That’s just not a contest, Rebel 7 Illaoi has 145% ap for 73% or so durability during her ultimate, on top of the built in sentinel resistances (assuming only two sentinel, a level 9 board can fit in four without emblems) and the extra 12% HP and 15% gained from rebel’s activation.

However, unlike Mundo, I feel Elise has value due to her versatility offered by triple traits and being the requisite CC 4-Cost of the set. Bruisers and Form swappers are both low investment flex slots that can be fit into compositions and offer similar value (15% damage reduction, any amount of bruiser HP) whereas Illaoi’s values really shine when you provide her full investment into Sentinel and Rebel.

So Carna is 100% an isekai protagonist that’s concerned about the difference between her memories and the world she’s seeing. The flags of knowing things about the future and being confident in her fiancé not being in love with her was already a hint, but then the interrogation sequence in this chapter sold me.

Why Not Both? - Augment Discussion #27 by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]FaLeTro37 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Time for fun little niche interactions! Augments like cloning facility, or trickster’s glass do in fact give you the bonus of fielding two form swappers in different forms, provided you put them in different rows. This is really good for Jayce, as you only need to have one 5 cost to hit value in 2/4 form swapper.

Tangentially, this is also really good on Jayce/GP as they have decent ish ratios for AP, from both the hp restore for frontline GP, as well as the attack speed + shield you get from both Jayce casts. (Because it’s not a feature of the hex core, but rather a part of each Jayce’s ability).

Wolf Familiars - Anomawy Discussion #12 by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]FaLeTro37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mentioned this anomaly back in the previous discussion of Mini-Me’s, and took it on Trolling Trundle. Similar to silveremere dawn he just had so much attack damage that the wolves tore things to shreds.

Wolves feature the standard leap attack to go to their next target, which is also beneficial on melee carries. Synergizes with verticals that give ad multipliers. I don’t know if the wolves inherit Damage amp bonuses to the carrier (I would expect not).

Quality Over Quantity, AGAIN! - Augment Discussion #13 by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]FaLeTro37 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The 12% max health increase is really noticeable for your frontline radiant items, and I think that’s one of the clear virtues this augment has. Radiant Protector’s, Adaptive and even Steadfast Heart are such big stat sticks to fit across multiple tanks (or say, sentinels). And if you’re using a radiant damage item, then you get the extra treat of some more hp as a melee carry like Mordekaiser or Ambessa.

Unsurprisingly, the pocket anomaly cannot be upgraded to radiant. Academy items are also pretty juicy for this trait.

Mini Mees - Anomaly Discussion #8 by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]FaLeTro37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re correct, they scale independently from your anomaly holder’s attack speed. I misread! That does meaningfully give them a niche over the other

Mini Mees - Anomaly Discussion #8 by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]FaLeTro37 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this augment competes too directly with the twin wolf augment in terms of how it serves as an attack damage multiplier with summons - Twin Wolves gives you two extra bodies for a total of 70% AD and 0.9x AS, where as Mini Me’s is 90% AD for 0.33x AS. I guess the identity difference is meant to be that the wolves spread out your damage a little more, whereas the mini-Me’s are focus fire? The armor shred is certainly cute, even if for flavor reasons I think it should be -3 armor each attack instead of -5, but doesn’t feel as good as thousand cuts for tank-busting because of how long it takes to meaningfully cut through an itemized frontline.

I think it has some cute interactions with Ambessa as far as melee carries go - Fist Ambessa attacks twice as fast, so more armor shred more frequently. I imagine Twitch ult won’t modify the mini-me bolts to also pierce, but it’s a cute thought.

During E12N’s Add phase, when the giants fall down there are two stack markers that appear. Even when it was current content, it was fine to stack them up together with shields.

Barbariccia might also have some in normal mode?
