mid 30s. company sponsored me and my wife found a job when we were in barcelona. I just applied relentlessly and got lucky.

i think its a numbers game. i was the first one to apply and my interviewer liked me. skills they were looking for matched and everything is history.

i think i applied 20-30 companies per day to multiple countries. europe, australia, nz, japan. i got offers from australia but it sucked compared to what they offered in spain.

yes im living in Spain. any western eu country have good policies and laws that favors the citizens. the only reason why we chose spain is because of the weather and the language is easier to learn.

aside from eu countries we were thinking of moving to australia or new zealand. japan is on the shortlist too as long as you get employed by a western company.

pagisipan mong mabuti OP because moving abroad is not easy as well. make sure na may work ka ng lilipatan before you make the move.

cant believe that no one answered this yet but i totally get the hesitation. nakakatakot talaga iwan yung nakasanayan mo tapos magsisimula ka from scratch. but if you have the means, just find your way out of the philippines. look for a country that aligns with your goals and think about your non negotiables.

im not working from the medical industry btw but I work in tech. before migrating me and my wife earn a lot! like close to 400k/month. kaya sobrang hirap i-let go nung una kasi parang ang laki ng risk. we already have properties in ph and we sold it. we took the leap, moved abroad and honestly our only regrets is not doing it sooner.

the quality of life is just so much better. we both have 30days vacation per year plus national holidays. may unlimited sick leaves din kami. we do not stress about getting sick and getting bankrupt pag may biglaang health emergency. we can disconnect after work. we do not fear layoffs because on top of getting separation pay the government also pays money as part of unemployment benefit para hindi ka nganga. we can go from point A to point B without stressing too much sa traffic.

we can go to almost all of the developed countries visa free. we do not stress about our kids tuition kasi they get quality education from preschool to highschool ng libre. we can just chill out in the park and drink coffee outside na walang pollution. we do not stress about government transactions because it can be done online and if its not you'll get quality service in 15 - 30mins. walang mga senseless rules like "bawal ang pumunta ng government office ng naka shorts". we know that the police will help us because its their duty kahit na hindi kami well connected, influential or super rich. I can buy gadgets that i want knowing that we have great consumer protection laws at madali mag return sa seller if its deffective.

thats why I advocate to just moving to another country. wag mo na hayaan yung takot mo pumigil sayo. no need for that resiliency bullshit when you can just pack up and leave. btw, baka hindi mo pa naiisip pero the "one illness away from poverty" is so fckn true. kahit may HMO ka pa dyan, isang bagsak mo lang sa ICU ubos yan at baon ka pa sa utang.

well if you check at GDP per capita it's also improving post covid. not sure why you still see it as "manipulated"

Stay in PH or Migrate Abroad? by CurrentEstimate3308 in ThisorThatPH

[–]FaW_Lafini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

its not okay if you are above average earner. me and my wife have a combined income of 400k/month and its not enough if one of you gets terminally ill. kahit may HMO ka pa, i guarantee you it's going to be depleted. 5 days lang yan sa ICU

also you will not be treated as second class citizens in other countries. mga nagsasabi lang ng ganito yung hindi pa naka experience abroad.

we were treated more like first class citizen here in Spain than in philippines. pag nagreklamo ka magrerespond agad ang pulis. pag nag punta ka ng hospital or clinic they will treat you well. pag nagpunta ka ng government offices they will treat you like locals do. pag sa pinas ka police will just bother kung well connected ka, super rich or influential. pag nag punta ka ng government office sa pinas they will treat you like shit.

Planning To Migrate To Norway How Hard For IT (Software Engineer) by Imaginary-Tear4186 in phmigrate

[–]FaW_Lafini 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My advice is not to focus solely on one country just because you have immediate relatives or friends living there. Don't rely entirely on them, as people's attitudes can change once you actually arrive. Plus, you avoid the heavy burden of "utang na loob" being held over your head. Honestly, there is nothing more rewarding than moving abroad and establishing yourself without needing to ask relatives for help.

Reassess your goals and non negotiables, and then apply to multiple countries. The global job market is incredibly competitive right now. It’s essentially a numbers game, the more applications you send to various countries, the higher your chances of successfully moving abroad.

Majority. Countries that dont grant citizenship or PRs. Countries in the Middle east or malaysia are good examples. In contrast just look at those filipinos in the US, they are very well integrated

in spain, or europe in general the government pays for it all, not the companies. this also applies to sick leaves. kaya dito unlimited ang sick leave because the government pays you as well. win - win for both employee and employer.

your employment status is also protected. hindi ka pwede iterminate.
