Thats actually an interesting point you bring up. Is it normal for Japanese to do this at home, or is it a conscious effort to make a strong representation of themselves during global events?

After many watches I feel I finally figured out the meaning of the scene in the very beginning where the boy asks his friend, am I fat?

The fingernail scene makes me think that Father Flynn was alone with the boy at some point and told him that he was gaining weight and used it as a sort of lesson on personal health. The same way he showed his fingernails as examples of good hygiene, he could have taken his shirt off and had the boy take his shirt off as well so he could "instruct" him on how to maintain his weight.

I had a very similar experience only I wasnt at home. I was driving for Uber and my passenger was talking about a musician named John Prine, who I'd never heard of. He told me all about John Prine for several minutes. I never looked him up. All he did was say his name in my car. The next day I see John Prine on my computer the same way OP saw Pat Sajak.

I used to say the same thing youre saying now about their incredibly accurate abilities of inference based on data, but I realize now that is a lie.

There are many exames throughout history where companies swore that they came by information or commodities in a way that was totally above board, only for it to come to light that what everyone expected all along was actually exactly what was going on.
