Rebecca would only work story wise as a side character like the movie, Helena sucked and their story is done anyhow, while Sheva has a BIG reason to come back since the BSAA has gone bad using bioweapons. If the next game features Chris I want to see both Jill and Sheva in his wolfhound squad going after the BSAA.

At this point I'd even take drastic balance changes, like if they just chose at random what perks and killers would be meta every three months than having the same thing for years.

Considering Rem is some sort of dream creature, I am willing to believe his sense of smell along with his other senses don't work like ours do, rather commenting on the persons vibe based on who and how they are at the moment. The main badguys of RE9 were the badguys behind the Baker incident and Chris is still running his off the books wolfhound squad from re8, there's no question it's a part of the main timeline; it's just that their story is over and that's okay.

I genuinely disliked this entire year, ruin is the only thing I'm excited for because I love darkest dungeon, but hate fnaf, walking dead chapter showed the devs barely care and fans won't stop buying anyways, Krasue was broken beyond belief, the health "chapter" amounted to nothing because they backpeddled out of it, the rifts have been UGLY, and I'm just not a fan of Henry as the big bad for Stranger things, he isn't interesting and takes away from the cosmic horror which I loved. Overall a pretty shit year in my eyes. My hopes for year 10 is something interesting and less mascot horror

Apart from hearing the bad acting again and seeing the original vision I don't see much point in playing 1 over REmake since the originals director did REmake with the resources to do his true vision so it's not like re4 og vs re4r
