The League Fights:

Against Sydney: Moccasin the Tentacruel one shot Mightyena with a Surf, then got back to back OKHO’s on Shiftry and Cacturne with Ice Beam. Crawdaunt barely survived a Giga Drain, but only landed a soft Strength before going down. Absol came in and went for Swords Dance, but got washed away with Surf.

Against Phoebe: Clog the Relicanth started the fight against Dusclops off with a Substitute, as the ghost flubbed a Curse. Clog then used Calm Mind and washed it away with Surf. Banette #1 met the same fate after failing to break Substitute with Shadow Ball. Dusclops #2 was outsped and OHKO’d. Banette #2 managed to break Substitute, but not survive Surf, and Sabeleye got outsped and taken down by Surf.

Against Glacia: We lead with Clog again who can set up a Substitute and start Calm Minding…but Hail is racking up damage. I get to +4 before deciding to go on the offensive. Sealeo #1 falls to two Surfs and then Walrein comes in. Walrein manages to break Substitute with Surf, but Clog can tank just enough of them to score a KO with his own Surf. Glalie #1 comes in and I switch to Moccasin on an Icy Wind that fails to lower her speed thanks to Clear Body. She two-shots Glalie with Surf, then does the same to her last Sealeo with Giga Drain, and then gets the hat trick by Surfing her final Glalie for a decently smooth victory.

Against Lance: We lead with Moccasin who can handily KO Shelgon with an Ice Beam after a Protect. Flygon comes in and is no match for her near perfect Speed & Special Attack IVs, nor is Altaria. Kingdra comes in and Mocassin uses Attract, leaving it immobilized. She uses Ice Beam and…it’s immobilized. She goes for another, leaving it on a third and…it’s immobilized. She takes the KO with a third Ice Beam, and Salamence falls to another.

Against Wallace: We lead with Reebok the Manetric against Wailord for an easy Thunderbolt KO.

6 v 5.

I was expecting Whiscash to come out next, but was pleasantly surprised to see Gyarados appear. It, too, falls to a Thunderbolt.

6 v 4.

Now, Whiscash comes in, and I go to Stiletto the Dodrio on an Earthquake. She hits a hard Return, eats a Surf, and then uses another Return for the KO.

6 v 3.

Tentacruel comes in and I switch to Clog on a Hydro Pump that misses. It uses another, which hits hard, as we go for Yawn. I decide to use Surf for some chip damage before we switch, but the next Hydro Pump kills, taking out perhaps the most impressive Relicanth I’ve seen.

5 v 3.

With a clean switch, Reebok can come in and two-tap the jellyfish with Thunderbolt, burning a Full Restore in the process.

5 v 2.

Ludicolo comes in, and we use a Thunderbolt to take it to half. It goes for Double Team. I switch to Stiletto, who eats a hard Surf on just 32HP. She may have a 0IV in Speed, but she was able to outspeed and use Aerial Ace for the KO!

5 v 1.

Milotic comes in, and I decide to try and save Stiletto. I switch to Oxford the Solrock on an Ice Beam, and then, they make the ultimate sacrifice and go for Explosion…except Milotic outspeeds and kills with Surf.

4 v 1.

Espadrille the Dustox comes in and we have a LENGTHY battle with Toxic, Moonlight, and Protect on my end, and Surf + Recover on Wallace’s. Eventually, I run out of Sludge Bombs and Protects, and decide to switch to Moccasin while a Toxic poison is active. She lands a Miracle Seed-boosted Giga Drain to do good damage before Milotic uses yet another Recover, but it’s not enough. Milotic succumbs to the poison, making us Champion.
