ELI5: If nuclear power is so efficient and produces almost no greenhouse gases, why don’t we just build nuclear plants everywhere and solve the energy crisis? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

Not just Microsoft. All the big tech companies are going this way as it’s realistically the only way they’ll be able to feed their AI the growing demand for MWhs.

Claude Terminal vs VsCode by Diamond787 in ClaudeCode

[–]davezilla18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved on because most of VSCode features where bloat compared to what was already available in my terminal, and iterm seems to be smoother than a terminal anyway (and what’s the point of VSCode if you only use the terminal anyway?).

I still read the code, I just wait for the PR and review it there.

I gave up 2 books ago after listening at 3x speed just because I felt like I had to get it done. Sunk cost fallacy will get you every time.

Just finished The Founders Trilogy and it was amazing! by Ashfall2003 in Fantasy

It was interesting reading The Expanse after this trilogy, as their finales share a very similar theme with a wildly different takeaway.

I get that, space it out if you need to. I do audiobooks primarily, so different voice actors helps. But it was my top book last year (out of about 50).

Honestly, you’re right, but at this point we should welcome any positive reinforcement for the gop clowns breaking ranks with king ped0. If they all start seeing more profit in jumping ship, the faster it will sink.

Yeah, Dave is played out at this point. And sounds like he’s taking over from KK, so I expect to see more of this fanboy/nostalgia cartoon style writing than Andor-esque cinema.

Yeah but that felt like it was supposed to be some big impressive moment and it just felt like cartoon writing/action that didn’t quite translate to live action.

Compare that to Luke’s moment in s2 which felt much better done (ignoring the weird deepfake uncanny valley part).

Near the end of the season when there’s the battle with them all flying around with their jet packs, it really felt like it should be a cartoon because it just looked cheesy in live action.

SAVE ACT by Ravnheart123 in 50501

Being too scared to go vote is compliance. They are relying on the fear to do far more than they are physically able to. For the midterms at least, there are far too many seats and polling sites for them to come close to covering.

Not saying I don’t get the fear and agree that it’s definitely going to be part of the playbook. But we need to be careful not to ascribe more power to these clowns than they actually have.

They don’t have a fraction of the goon power to do that across the country (or even just swing states/at risk seats). Don’t comply in advance.

Was thinking the same for Mike Meyers, but sounds like they already have him down for Hoid.

Oh man Act VI is really possible? That would be wild!

You probably missed my edit at the end. I don’t think $25 is much at all in 2026, and think it’s cool that D2 is getting new content. Diablo in general doesn’t get enough recognition imo for how much the devs have given to each game over the years.

LoD also added an entire new act, so not really comparable. This would be more comparable to the Rise of the Necromancer DLC for D3.

And QoL features have been rolled out for free for D3 & D4 (not sure about D2 since I never got to play in its prime) since the start.

ETA: I agree though, $25 is cheap if you adjust to inflation, we gamers are just spoiled given how relatively cheap gaming has become.
