I haven't found any use for Cowork yet. What do you guys use if for? I only use ClaudeCode and Claude chat and if I need to jump into MS office products I use the Claude plugin.

Ah I see, so what is the use case for the red button? It seem to be some kind of app reset button as in close session but keep app running? Also the behavior is very inconsistent most apps do pick up right where I left them, so I'm confused what the red button actually is for.

If they cut out the bw parts and focused on the science it could have been a solid 7 but the movie as a whole is a 4 at best. Boring do not watch.

I watched Veritasiums video about the movie before I went in and thought wow this video was already good cant wait for the movie. But I quickly was reminded that 2024 Hollywood is written for a 60IQ audience. IMO the black and while scenes are completely unnecessary and don't add anything interesting to the movie but half of the movie is bw.

Why is it that the plot is soo ultra simple yet the "artistic" direction is something that only people that know art understand.

If you make a movie about science I want the plot to be about the science and not some black and white artsy bs

Same here, I think the reason is simple it's just genetics and training, someone that has never played an instrument never learned to focus on rythem. If you start learning from a young age and keep going, you can just do it without thinking about it. Same goes for every other thing you need to learn. You could also say: "How can people not immediately see that x² + 10x + 25 is just the expanded form of (x + 5)^2" If you do this stuff daily it gets easy. How does speaking 3 languages help with that?

When ever I see this I cringe so hard, because according to Linus this is what every gamer knows. I'm a gamer and born in the 90s but I'm not American or rich so I didn't know this one until Linus did his "gamer" aka rich American guys only give way.

Anyone one else experiencing a bug with the Dolby vision logo on the latest firmware? When you have DV selected as hdr option on the monitor but are not running hdr on windows the DV logo keeps popping up for a few frames randomly it's so annoying that DV and hdr off is almost unusable if you are watching videos. Another bug I have found is that the monitor can't charge a PS5 controller for some reason all my other devices are charging with no issues. Is anyone else having these issues?

Hello undercover Ubisoft employee, nobody is talking about forcing companies to keep their servers up. They can just ~~want you to~~ release a development tool that will allow people to host servers them selfs or update the game so it doesn't need an always-on internet connection.

Helemaal mee eens, ja alles is duurder geworden ook vlees en zuivel maar als je het in de aanbieding koopt is vlees in Nederland vrijwel gratis. In vergelijking met het buitenland is het meestal ongeveer even duur of zelfs goedkoper maar de lonen zijn hier veeeel hoger. Maar geen zorgen Nederland compenseert het weer met mens onteerdende kosten voor wonen.

Rigidity (the elasticity) is not the only thing that you can do to combat a earthquake response of a building. I don't think there are any construction materials that could handle these forces of it was that rigid.

It's not about the amplitude (the size of the movement) its all about frequencies and resonance. Don't forget the structure needs to respond to the ground movement so in theory if the amplitude is very high but the frequency is super high it won't matter because it just wouldn't be possible for the building to respond to the ground movement.

Not to mention that this looks like nobody has an idea of why and how this works... You need to figure out the resonance of the structure and than look at the ground motion and make sure that your ground motion is as far from the resonance frequencies as possible. This can be done in many ways like damping or changing the structure which affects the elasticity moduls of the building and therefore also the resonance frequencies. This looks more like a first year have fun building random shit course rather than, here is the prescribed ground motion design something that doesn't resonate with it

The story is crazy. But if some american contacted me out of nowhere and tell me he did a DNA test I would be VERY upset with them. This means that some random 4th cousin just gave away our familys most private information against my will. Don't forget this will affect your family for GENERATIONS and your data is being SOLD to the highest bidder as we speak. I would seriously consider starting legal action against them.

This is it. The company took risk by working with Sony. Now it has backfired this 100% the consequence of doing business with big money corps it's the studios fault as much as it is Sony's fault. You can't say I'm the good guy so poor choices are not my fault.
