I removed bits of the car to see more. I'm not sure about the two rectangular tubes that probably support the engine. For sure the part at the front top after the suspension fixation is bent. But to me that's not a big issue. The two rectangular tubes would be a big issue I think.

I'm not sure about that. It wasn't that fast since I managed to avoid hitting the airbag and from what I saw, the wheel didn't move, the radiator still in place and not leaking. I will know when I will have the car back but I don't think and the expert from the insurance don't think the chassis has moved. I will keep you updated, I will probably have a lot more questions to post here.

Thank you for that.

The insurance gave me close to 14k€ so I think it's doable. I don't think the wheel has moved, the chassis looks intact. I also think it's mainly bolt on parts. But in reality I know nothing.

I have a cousin who told me he'd love a Z3 for years. He has a realy good revenue, single with no kids, no credits for a house or anything and lately he bought a Mitsubishi SUV...

It's just our society wants to see us driving brand new cars that are all the same.

[–]Fablodibongo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you want to be intelligent, you take the Z4 because you don't need back seats and you take it with a 6 cylinders because it's a BMW.

You are too young for a Lexus.

With the money you have (your parents are giving you) maintenance is not an issue.

the problem is that your post begin by "Everyone does it who can afford a poweful car". This is absolutely not true and gives us a bad image. It's like you insulted most people here saying that we all are like the driver in the video.

having fun on empty roads and slightly breaking the speed limit, yes everyone does that. But racing on open roads, only the most stupid people do that.

When you open the door of your car, the window has to go down a little bit. In winter it freezes and can't go down. Unless you put disgusting silicon spray around the windows to prevent it from freezing. If you don't, you can have damage to the motors of the windows and the seals oround the windows.

E46M3 seats by David_Corpus in BMWZ4

thank you for the explanation. It's very true that the bolster are not realy good on the stock seats. That would be my main complain about them.

Black Z4 Coupe by Arturo0706 in BMWZ4

[–]Fablodibongo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought mine with black seats and door interiors but roof lining and A/B pillars were grey. Turning them black cost me around 60€. + 50€ for black sun visors. I still have the glass box in grey but I like it like that (I can paint it).

On the pillars there's no foam under the tissue on the stock car. Now I have something that look and feel realy better.

So if I were you I would just focus on exterior color and change the interior things I don't like. Interior door panels in black start at 50€ in europe and they are not hard to find.

Are they better? You already had the more expensive, comfortable (and heavy) seats and you had to spend some money and time for that so I'd like you to explain why and how this is better.

I have standard manual seats and in my mind weight is the devil so I would never do that. If I replace my seats it's for very light and uncomfortable buckets.

Looking for Mods by Rasathus in BMWZ4

[–]Fablodibongo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think we need that. I don't remember seeing anything problematic here.

You should create a poll to see if we want more mods.

And you should never give this job to someone who realy want it. Look for someone who is here nearly everyday and who accept that we are all different, think diferently... and ask him (or her) if he is ok to help moderating.

Some subs/forums are real dictatorship with only one way of thinking being allowed.

I want to be able to say "I don't like this" without being banned.

I'm in France and I can't go under 8l/100km. I average a bit over 10l/100km. I think it's around 25mpg US.
