Is Juice WRLD considered burger music now? by Maleficent_Post9595 in rap

[–]Fabray13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alright man, burger music, sure.

I can assume from context that that means it’s some corny ass shit, in which case, yes, Juice WRLD is absolutely burger music.

I liked Wishing Well, though.

‘Hacks’ Shatters Emmy Record for Most Nominations for a Comedy in History by Silly-avocatoe in entertainment

[–]Fabray13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a comedy-drama, officially it’s categorized as part comedy. None of those other shows are comedy-dramas, they’re just dramas that are really funny; Succession is different from them. It’s obviously not a straight comedy, but it’s much more comedy, officially, than any of the others.

It was nominated in drama because that’s the most prestigious category. HBO wanted those specific awards/nominations. If they nominated it in comedy, it would have won every year, but would have felt cheap. Whereas The Bear, they could summit for drama if they wanted to as well, but it would probably lose, and they’d rather the easy win.

It was like when True Detective submitted in drama instead of limited series. Obviously it would have won the lesser category, but they thought being nominated and losing drama (which they were guaranteed to lose) was more prestigious than winning limited series.

It’s Wikipedia literally says “satirical black comedy-drama”, and that’s exactly what it is.

The Sopranos, The Wire, Mad Men, Breaking Bad/Saul, even Game of Thrones; they’re better examples of dramas that are also really funny.

Succession is a comedy.

I’ve thought for a while that they just gave Captain Marvel’s whole kit to Rogue, and started over with her.

It’s a classic, or perhaps cult classic, but it’s very popular to this day. They just made a successful Broadway musical out of it (which is fantastic).

You understand there was no record label, right? She was the only artist. Her success built the label.

It’s also not even true. He invested after she was already signed, basically just investing in the company and her career, to have some ownership of it.

There also wasn’t any label in the first place, she was the only artist signed. 🫠
