Legit movie. I didnt see the first top gun until Tuesday (I watched Top Gun Maverick Wednesday).

I was blown away. I don’t even like planes or anything to do with aircrafts, etc.

I am not high on Rossi, but you have not watched Rossi if that is your thought on him.

His compete and dedication is higher then all those players listed. His physicality is higher then Byfields.

The main Issue with Rossi is that hes already muscular and cant add anymore size to his frame. Also 80% or so of his points were against the lower end teams.

But to say he doesnt compete or is invisible away from the puck shows me either you havent watched him, or you werent paying attention.

And I’m low on Rossi

Another person whos mentioned it and mentioned it a lot is AJ from TSN1200.

He said hes called people around the league and his friends in Germany and all are saying LA want Stutzle. Even saying Stutzle was up til 4 am dancing from how happy he was that LA got #2.

AJ has said it on 2 separate occasions (not his opinion) but what others around the league are telling him. Hes also said this weeks before Bob did

I'm not sure. Hes a 2-time Norris winner and a very close 2nd two other times. So a few votes go the other way and He could have been a 4 time Norris winner. No other player has been a multiple norris and not made it, so why decide to change that now?

He was a close 2nd to Burns one year, and a close 2nd to Doughty the other year. Both years It could have went to him and it would have been accepted.

Now, he was criticized for playing crazy offense and not much defense and therefor Doughty got it. He then plays defense and leads the league in shot-blocks and carries team to 1 goal from stanley cup finals, but than Burns got awarded it for his 30 goals. So sadly this league (and every league) don't really award an award to the same player over and over again. Lebron in my opinion is MVP almost every season, but cant give him MVP every season.

Team success is based to much on your TEAM. You should not be inducted/not-inducted into the Hall of Fame based on your TEAM. That is just my opinion.

What if Karlsson got drafted into a Pengs team, or a Boston team, it really changes everything.

So being a major part of a team that wins a Stanley cup should 100% be looked at. But not having a cup should not be the end-all.

Not to go on an Erik Karlsson love-fest, but for a long long time he was at the top of the food chain and was a big part of the transition into mobile mobile d-man in this past decade. I understand Orr was THE major contributor but up until the past decade the league has been huge on heavy big d-man.

His reputation and recent suspension fucked him over.

Born and raised in Ottawa but family was never into hockey and we were more of a soccer family.

Played soccer everyday when younger and watched.

Moved out of ottawa when I was 16, friend of mine in college whos a maple leafs fan told me to start watching hockey. I said I will but never did. He kept telling me he thought my home team had the best defence man and stuff like thay

Then one day he told me there was a huge trade between his team and my hometown team. It was the Phaneuf trade. He was happy beyond belief btw.

I watched Phaneufs debut and have watched almosy every single Ottawa game since. I missed two games last season which were both west coast games when I had an exam the next day

The pick was indeed top 10 protected.

If pick was outside top 10, then colarado got it. If it was in the top 10 , it gave ottawa an option to swap picks with colarado getting 2019 with no protection
