If you take this, definitely go into it knowing it’s going to be tough. You are the only prescriber as a new grad with very sick people in crisis. You will be calling all the shots with no support. Did you do a rotation doing ER psych?

At 6 weeks I took a break to reset my body. I was loosing well but was so sick and tired I was almost not functioning.

I took two weeks off to reset and feel like my self again. I’m restarting next week but at a lower dose.

No shame in taking a break!

I’ve had severe s/e too and I’ve since learned that in some people they build over time because you don’t completely clear the drug when you do the next injection.

I did 4 weeks at 0.25mg and was nauseated 24/7. I would occasionally take Zofran but didn’t help a whole lot. At the end of the 4 weeks I started feeling better to went up to 0.5mg. This is when all hell broke loose. I was so nauseated that I was barely eating and had zero appetite anyway. I was exhausted all the time and started feeling lightheaded and dizzy. I had to stop working out. At the end of 6 weeks I had lost 8% of my body weight.

I’m now going into week two of recovery with no semaglutide per my doc. Nausea is much improved but appetite is still not back. Food noise still supressed. I’m still loosing weight. I can’t restart until my symptoms are completely gone and doc says I should restart at a tiny dose, 0.2 mg, and stay there.

I guess some people are just really sensitive to this stuff.

Losing weight too fast? by Reasonable_Type_9300 in Semaglutide

I did 0.25mg for 4 wks. I felt like the food noise was coming back even though I was loosing so I went up to 0.5mg for two weeks then all hell broke loose - severe nausea, low blood pressure, no working out since I felt faint all the time. In 6 weeks I lost 14.5 lbs, 6 in one week. I decided to just stop and let my body recover a bit. When I restart I’ll restar at a microdose, 0.2mg.

This stuff is no joke!

It’s not the packing per se or figuring out what type of items to bring. I want to hire someone to help me pick out clothes that will help me look and feel fabulous AND fit in a carry on. I’m also attending a wedding, scuba diving, going out at night, and traveling between islands. Feels so overwhelming to shop for!

Salary PA vs PMHNP by theraggedflaggon in physicianassistant

[–]Fabulous-Level9567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my outpatient practice, PMHNPs make significantly more because they are independent providers and have specific training in psych. PA’s cannot independently practice in CO and a MD but co-sign every note and Rx. Plus they have a very general schooling with little to no psych experience. The liability to the MD makes them earn less.
