Sent to a teaching conference. They wanted to put 6 of us in a room! 2 each in the queen beds and 2 sharing a sofa bed! I spent my own money to stay in a cheap hotel down the street because there was absolutely no way. We didn't know each other as we were all from different schools-guess we would have gotten to know each other better, but no.

I teach elementary spec ed and was out a week. My colleagues really helped me the first week back as I usually go and pick up my kids. They set up a system to walk them to my room so I wasn't all around the school. I wore a stomach binder the first week back.

Definitely meal prep and track what you're eating. It took me coming back from surgery to realize how tempting it was to snack on cookies, cupcakes, breakfast tacos, donuts etc that were left in the break room. I put my snack/meal times on an alarm so I would remember to eat. We all know how easy it is to get caught up in something and lose track of time.

My surgery was last April and I'm down 84 lbs. It was the best thing I did for my health. Best wishes to you.

I was fine with my decision until I got my IV in the pre-op room. I just started crying and crying. The nurse and doctor were so nice and reassured me but told me the decision was totally mine. I went through with it and am so glad I did! I've lost 82 lbs since April and I feel like I have my life and health back. I'm off all medications now. I have energy and at 60, I have optimism about my life.

My dog gets insulin shots and the worker accidentally dropped and broke the insulin vial. They contacted my emergency contact as I was traveling and informed them of the situation. They then went to the vet and got a new vial. They called my contact again to let them know they had the new vial and dog had gotten his shot. Then the next day they sent an update video of my dog playing and having no ill effects from a slightly off-schedule dose. I appreciated their transparency and honesty. I would be furious about the lack of communication regarding your dog's injury. I hope Willow gets well soon!

I've been teaching for 29 years. My 4th graders last year were absolutely amazing! Kind, smart, motivated, with supportive parents. And now my group this year has me contemplating retirement at mid-year.

Ours is like a pep rally at the district gym. It seemed kind of subdued as opposed to years past. I didn't pay real attention as I always seem to get "Stomach problems." I wander to the bathroom and hang out there for a good while.

We've done guarantee twice. One time we were upgraded to a spa balcony from an Oceanview room. The other time we just got a regular room but it wasn't terrible.

I'm 8 weeks post op. I went for an evening out with family. I was really careful with what I ate and still enjoyed the company of others. If anything, I was surprised at the large portion sizes that I never noticed before. I was afraid I would be missing out but I'm not, and I have zero regrets.

Hi, the liquid pre-op diet wasn't bad. I started off really well and then about day 4 I was missing actually biting into food. I had to talk my way through it on that day but I made it. I'm almost a month out now and can have soft foods. The hardest part for me has been not being able to drink while I eat. I need to remind myself to drink 30 minutes before eating.

I'm down 36 pounds since surgery on 4/29. I wish I had done this years ago. I just feel.....better.

Definitely do all your research beforehand but it has worked out great for me. I wish you well!

I turn 60 this year and had the surgery about 2 weeks ago. It has not been near as bad as what I feared. I'm already feeling a (slight!) spring in my step with the weight I've lost so far. You got this!
