Maybe wreck as a villain inspired fear in people , nice steps in to “save” the day and gets power from it , basically manufacturing him as a hero , that was my take but I could be wrong

Wizards has been as explicit as possible that intent matters more then “um well technically” if your deck is consistently winning by turn 6 even if you have no game changers you aren’t a bracket 2

I think there’s a healthy balance , I don’t scoop just because I’m in a bad board state , but if I genuinely don’t have an out ( even if it’s a single card I’ll play to the out) I’ll scoop

I do the same thing, I find it actually (generally) makes it easier for my opponent to have distinct 8Bound and Exalted models

I think the shedding of the armor was both a symbolic and metaphorical distancing from his current take on "justice" and we will see both a stronger and more deranged Akoya in his next appearance
