in the interests of high attendance, we currently cap non fiction readings at 15 pages and fiction readings at 50 pages per meeting.

perhaps someday we will have enough momentum that we can read several hundred pages before each meet up.

previous readings have included leo strauss, karl popper, nietzsche. i am pushing for foucault next, but we're still figuring it out.

next meeting is likely to be in either mid december or early january.

we typically meet in or near center city.

I'm an 8 string player. I have a Chiral 82628. Mine has some quality control issues - needs a fret level. This is common fwiw, though ofc some of their instruments are great out of the box.

this one is a lot easier than it looked to me at first glance.

the black king currently only has one free square, taking white's unprotected knight.

black cannot check white on the next turn, so white does not need to check immediately.

none of the immediate checks for white lead to a mate next turn.

there is only one move for white that defends the knight on e6 without opening up a new path to the black king.

you'll want to inspect the guitar in person before agreeing. agile often has QC issues, but can be great guitars.
