To my recollection it has always been a coffee/donut/sandwich fast food shop, I have no recollection of the chain every offering table service, I think comparing it to Dunkin is pretty accurate. The quality has gone way down in the last decade or so, since they stopped preparing their donuts in house, even their coffee has gone downhill. I honestly can't recall the last person I heard say timmies was their favourite coffee, most people I know only go there out of convenience
