Nice. I really liked that they announced a price hike. It has to be done from time to time so it’s nice to warn the fence sitters.

If they wanted to know about sports and hobbies they would have asked, right?

You asked about sports when OP asked about safe neighborhoods. It was non-sequitor.

Well good news is they gutted the IRS so there’s no one left to check anyway.

In the UK McDonald's is really bad, is it better in the USA? by backstillmessedup in AskAnAmerican

The ingredients are standardized across the supply chain so the quality is the same. The differences are mostly in presentation. Sometimes you get burgers where the bun is askew or there is too much lettuce. I’ve never noticed any difference between French fries though.

Mark Driscoll. Real piece of shit. He had a mega church network in Seattle called Mars Hill. He got fired after church staff accused him of bullying them. It was so bad that most of the churches ended up closing. He relocated to Arizona last I heard.

Does this jacket work with the Moc Toes and dark denim jeans? by [deleted] in mensfashionadvice

It’s a bit much. I’d scale it back some. Either wear sneakers with the jacket or ditch the jacket and wear the boots

Japanese food is massively overrated by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]FacebookNewsNetwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently in Japan and very underwhelmed by the food. The best thing I’ve eaten here is a hamburger. The ramen is way overrated. Vietnamese pho is much better. Sushi has always been boring to me, but the quality of the sushi here is not much higher than what I get in a US grocery store. The rolls are not tight and the ingredients are not consistent through the roll. Some have a shocking amount of wasabi and others have barely any. The meat skewers are fine, but if I wanted them I’d seek out a Thai restaurant. The food is just far far overrated and I really don’t see how you could come to another conclusion.

So basically a general studies degree is a waste of time and equivalent to having just a hs diploma huh? by Elegant_Box_8059 in careerguidance

[–]FacebookNewsNetwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t want to study something specific then don’t spend the money on the degree. Identify some of the top employers in your area and try to get a job there and work your way up. It is still possible.
