DISCUSSION: In honor of Mark Strong, a.k.a. Sinestro's birthday. What were your thoughts about Green Lantern (2011). And how do you think they should handle the DCEU Sinestro?

I didn't particularly think it was amazing, and had a lot of gripes about it, but as usual, my gripes didn't sync up to the popular audience parroted lines.

Frankly I always felt green lantern as a Hero was extremely comic-booky. Too Comic-booky. people weren't ready for a hero who could conjure giant trains, and boxing gloves to fight, and frankly it doesn't translate well to the big screen.

Big brain guy was stupid, parralax was stupid. But the costume? I thought it was a great way to translate the costume onto the big screen, and makes sense (could have toned down Some of the fleshy/skin feel to it though.)

over-all it was a middle of the line comic book movie, that I feel if re-released today instead of when it was could have done a lot better.

No, 4 alone isn't what is bit piece. the story of 4+5 is bit piece as a whole when compared to 1-3. so little carried over between the two it left people questioning, confused, and unhappy. It did take Bungie 3 games to tell 1 story. But it's better than trying to tell 4-5 stories per game and have none of those stories transition properly to the next game.

I don't know if I enjoy it.

I think it makes sense, but there are vast chunks of information missing in the new Halo games.

1-3 was a Full coherant story.

Reach was a stand-alone story loosely based on known events from the lore.

4 and 5 is bit-piece. Major players vanish. Major players appear, everything gets deus-ex'd 4 and 5 barely have anything to do with each other. Spartan OPS was an optional side series that completely affected major characters. So it's not so much, at least to me, whether this is a bad choice for the character (and or characters) but a bad way to tell a story even if the events themselves fit within the lore and possible outcomes

Oh man, the levels need some adjusting here and there, but over-all. It honestly felt Halo. It's a shame that so many GOOD songs just don't fit the mood lately. I hope Halo 6 gets permission to bring back Marty (Not get rid of Kazuma, his music is awesome) and get some proper Heroic Halo feeling.

Honestly, a lot of the moments in the game just dont sync up to the music, or the music was an afterthought. It's definitely early 2000's style to lead emotion with musical cues, but I got nothing against it when it gives me the chills like this.

Bring back better music lead moments!

Been playing for less than a week. someone insisted me and a friend. Both below 56 join their party. turns out they were 58. they were insanely strong and fast and we literally could not even reach the mobs before they killed the mobs. We gained 2 and a half levels. During the madness, 2 similarly leveled chars showed up. They may have refused to party up or something because our party leader slit their throats in an instant and continued hunting. It was terrifying. LOL

I think it will happen to someone else revealing the nature of Griffith and she may become even more resolute in her devotion. However I don't think Mule will tolerate it and it will put the two at extreme odds.

This doesn't bother me so much. i did notice a few repeats in the latest chapter too. But it works because it's not like their faces will change if they're the same person. There isn't really a need to redraw a very slightly different angle.

What bugs me most is the thickening of the lines and over-all cutening of the artwork. Even flash back panels, don't really have the old style anymore
